I go over how to win kickoffs in Rocket League and all of the kickoff techniques I use in grand champion 1v1's. In my experience in lower ranks if you wait about 1 second before moving towards the ball the opponent will hit it right into your car and it will bounce to their side🙂

Okay so it actually isn't that hard do a diagnol flip but then air roll the opposite way your currently twisting. It is called half cancelling

The diagonal flip you do puts the boost always behind so you keep your speed and momentum or go supersonic if you do it correctly

a bad thing from being first touch is that when the opponent hits it , it may not bounce back on you, pushing it to your side when the opponent hits it the ball may go up making you miss the hit and making them ultimately win the kick off. Which is why most of the time i aim for 2nd touch by letting them go first by like 0.7 seconds

My kickoffs for diagonal is just flip diagonal into the ball and at the last second powerslide into the ball, you will be the first and the last to touch the ball... It bounces from you to them and back into ur backside and most times onto their half. Sometimes it doesnt work though and you end up with a goal in your own corner😅

Actually there are some advantages of two people going for the kickoff ball, you are able to form a deflection that aims towards the net scoring a kickoff goal. I usually do this with my teammate, we both go for the ball when we are both spawned at each corner of the ball and when we are about to hit the ball we try to make an L shape with our cars which usually ends up deflecting the ball right into their net at a very fast speed.
