He Built a Log House By Hand in the Woods

I built a Log cabin in the Wilderness, with simple tools. I filmed and edited the entire process. My first time ever doing this. My name is Samson I am 13. I was 12 when this started Thank you for watching.
After spending most of my life in the big city, living a congested life within society's grip I decided to leave all that behind and become more self reliant living a simpler more fulfilling life closer to God. My wife and I have 6 children, (Samson is our oldest) we homeschool, raise a garden, mini farm and try to be resourceful as we can providing everything the family needs from nature.

WOW! I applaud this young man for being so diligent to create this and he’s lucky that he had some help as well but he built the majority of it by himself. I love the skylight he put in the roof that was very creative and how he built his table in and his little stove installation. This video gives me inspiration I’ve inherited 5 1/2 acres in southeastern Ohio that is heavily wooded and it’s a hillside. I would like to build a cabin with the wood that would have to be taken down in order to clear an area to erect it. The only suggestion I can make to this young man is when he put the insulation into the floor you have to cover it from the bottom so that the moisture does not get into the fiberglass wall otherwise you will have lots of mold living in there which will seeping to your living space which will make you very sick. I think I’m going to attempt something like this this summer. You give me lots of inspiration. Keep up the good work young man!

It stands to reason an adult would be nearby to "Supervise" (If you will), a young person's attempt at doing a project, that is meant for most grown adults. A youngster, regardless of gender, Has To have an adult making sure all is going as it should and mainly, for their Safety. (My kid's mom is always by my grand-daughter when she is learning something in the kitchen; same with me ~ nearby when grandson is repairing his bike.) This young man shows discipline, know-how and a spiritual mindset. 👍👍. Kudos to his father (& mom) for continuing the tradition. Great father/son connection. Young man is showing progress and dedication!!💚 👌(Luckily this video popped up and being a curious grandfather, I had to click. Glad I did!!) Not subscribed...but JUST DID!!! How old was your boy when he built this. I'm (74) & yes--a girl. I was always a tom-boy & grewup on a big farm. Grandparents use to go up in Canada twice a year & we would camp & fish. I hated to be indoors & road horses-even went back in West Virginia hills where my Uncle had 100 acres-just me & my paint. I would stay back there for a long time. They would come by & make sure I was ok but just me & my horses in there old cabin. Grandpa said I should have been a boy. When we were up in Canada-he took me over to meet a woman who built her own cabin & I was in love. Grandpa gave me 10 acres of woods & said go at it & I did. Used his tools & never lost one. I wish I was back there but my parents sold farm . Tried to by it back once but people that got it threw grandpa & to this day still have it. I have been back to see the cabin & have even stayed in it. He is a good boy & strong. He wasn't alone--I saw U once & even the chickens. Be safe & God Bless. Phoenix

It’s called homeschooling and much more efficient, safe and productive. He was taking college courses and passed his first college exam at age 11. Has college credits, is writing a book, writes movie scripts, films directs and edits his own projects this being one of them. All children are capable of much much more than most realize.
