Thing is, the details on both of these characters for this are outdated too. Though the Fairy Tail anime ended I think before the Death Battle, the manga has continued. And doubt I need say that Zoro's also gotten stronger since then.

You do have to know Erza's artificial eye is magic so she doesn't have any loss of vision, and Zoro with his observation haki actually has more field awareness then just having two normal eyes

Erza fought and beat Misaki, a dark dragon knight. The dark dragon knights are Kirin, Misaki, Suzaku, and Haku. The dark dragon knights are said to be similar in strength, with Kirin being the strongest. This means each dragon knight is large planetary (minimum), so erza being able to beat the second strongest would be minimum large planetary. Last I checked, Zoro was Multi Continental. Fyi Selene made the moon as big as the planet effortlessly and affected earth land from a separate dimension just by getting angry

Start if series Erza was already mountain level and she has gotten thousands of times stronger. I'd even argue that current Erza shown in the death battle should've won.

Even Zoros greatest feats don't scale up to the level that fairy tail does. Guildarts was capable of destroying a mountain with ease at the earlier stage of his intro but was only a bit stronger than Bluenote Stinger, a powerful user of gravity magic. A much stronger version of the Natsu who oneshot Bluenote and an equally powerful Gray was stopped by an injured Erza with her bare hands.
