It it keeps going off, there could be dust in the sensing chamber. Photoelectric smoke detection chambers cannot tell the difference between dust and smoke. Basically a buildup of dust inside is causing the beam from the internal infrared LED to shine on the photodiode which closes the circuit and causes the detector to go into alarm. Try vacuuming out the device to clear the chamber and it should stop falsing.

how do you open it? mine wont shut up and ive been trying for 30minutes to get the thing opne but I cant.

I'm not sure how long mine lasted but with winter coming I just checked it and it is dead after two years.

I just installed this one. It beeps when tested. Is it supposed to have a little green light showing it’s on? My other detectors have a green light.

Battery-only powered alarms have no green light to indicate it's on. Instead, it flashes a quick red flash every 9-10 minutes. Your other detectors are showing a green light because they're connected to AC power.
