I miss the old kid rock before disrespecting our vets. He was one of the ones who screamed “F kapernick and anyone who kneels to the flag.” N that became a huge talking point for the right. But they had forgotten a little over 10 years prior we had vets kneeling to the flag to protest their brothers lost in Fallujah to a pointless war they were lied to about in order to be brainwashed into supporting. But back then the left n right were pretty much in agreement about the war in Iraq, and how we shouldn’t have gone there. So because of that, right wing media didn’t fear monger the kneeling. And nobody cared. Fast forward to kapernick…it was suddenly a problem. “Find a new way to protest” aka “find a new way to enact your first amendment because kneeling to the flag is disrespectf so we’re gonna suppress your right to do that, even though us conservatives broke flag code at EVERY Trump rally since 2015” it’s a damn shame you can tell those people are just virtue signaling our stars n stripes becsause the irony is so strong they have no clue

THIS WAS MY LIFE at 17 & 18 yrs old in 1986/1987...I had a white '79 F-100 4x4 SWB, no a/c, 3spd on the column & an excellent Pioneer cassette player that played Hank Williams Jr all the time!!! I told my daughter after I watched this video..."YOU NEED TO ALWAYS REMEMBER YOUR HIGH SCHOOL YEARS, THESE ARE GONNA BE SOME OF THE GREATEST YEARS OF YOUR LIFE"!!! Much love from Mobile Alabama.

Good song. Kid was the dude I liked the most out of them late 90s rockers. He can pull off that country sound as well as rock n roll. Glad he strayed away from that Rap rock shit. But never decided to fully listen to it til a year ago pretty much. And damn, I can say that it hurts though cause she broke up with me two years ago do to my own selfish reasons which I have finally learned from within the last year. But this song always brings me back to the great times I had with her actually. It’s a bittersweet feeling to reminisce about the old times with her. But man this song is so amazing and very nostalgic. It also gives me hope still.
