Man, I got a ton of stories. Living in Nashville we got Alot of lakes & my youth was just unbelievable. I used to drive my bass boat up & down the lake shore he's driving in this video. Fish it, have picnics right there where those 2 twins are with the rebel flag bikini. That's Hendersonville TN. My cousin is a country song writer, lives right down the street from that video shoot. This video kicks my memory into overdrive. Such good times. We can't go back but we have the God given memories.

@JeffreyHill-zv5xd I lived in Nashville in the 80s. My best friend played steel guitar for Porter Wagoner in his all girl band that he had at the time. I got to travel with them sometimes. I met alot of the old country stars. Mel Tillis was always a good time. I remember going to a Bass fishing tournament and at the weigh in Mel put little pebbles in the gills to make them weigh more. I worked at the Opryland Hotel as a cocktail waitress and met so many good musicians. I really miss those good ol days. I'm 65 now and I can still party with the best.😊

I've loved Kid Rock since I was a kid. My mom was from Michigan, & I was born & raised in Tennessee so everyone around me listened to his music. This song came out when my brother & I were kids, we created a "stage" outside in the yard, set up lawn chairs, & made the family (including our grandparents & great grandmother) come listen to us preform it 😂 theres probably a video of that somewhere.. My brother passed away 2 years ago, its crazy how a song can take you back to a place & time just like it was yesterday.. ❤️

I had a blonde surfer girl that fit this song perfectly. We were 14 and 15 just discovering America. We went our separate ways a few years later and didn't see each other for 40 years. We bumped into each other again after 40 years and 2 life times passed us by. We started to kindle a love that we should have ignited 45 years before. Before we could really discover the love that we both knew could have been the ingredients for an unbreakable and deep discovery of ourselves she went to her final and long deserved rest. She passed in her sleep leaving me with the love that I have to her until she meets me when I cross over to greet her forever. Ours was the summer of 1971.

Damn I was born in the early 2000’s and I remember I loved this song when I was little even if I didn’t know what they were saying, but I still loved it driving in the car with my mom when she took me on a road trip. I didn’t know what this song was called until I finally found it a few years ago and it just flooded with memories coming back. Now when I listen to this song again and see the music video for like the 3rd time I wish I was born back then in that decade when everything was fun and everything was just peace and love, didn’t have to worry about anything, you could party and have fun with your friends and everyone got along with each other. I seriously don’t belong in this decade that I’m in. I’m more of an old soul I like classic music from the 70’s 80’s and 90’s I love the clothes that they used to have (and yes I know that they’re back now) I love the old classic cars they had. I also love how there wasn’t that much technology like there is now. Every time my mom talks about everything when she was little I always say “damn I really wish I was born in that time so bad”. But my mom said that if I was born in that time I wouldn’t know how all of this technology works, I would be like her not knowing all this difficult technology that we have now, which is true I wouldn’t know anything but the more I think about it, I honestly wouldn’t give a shit if I didn’t know about technology that much, at least I would have lived the life back in those decades.

This song has described almost every teenage experience before the invention of cell phones & internet. A time when no one was trying to "go viral" and all of our crazy dumb shit we did was not recorded for the world to see lol thankfully for some of us, those days are locked up tight and only seen in the memories of only those who were there! I miss the simpler time before everything got all hectic with becoming an adult and the biggest thoughts were when and where?

Let me just say this, because it does not look like anyone else has yet- LYNYRD SKYNYRD. I was a teenager in high school when the "Sweet Home Alabama" first hit the radio airwaves. I can't even begin to tell you how much fun I had or can I begin to describe what the world was like back then. Just to say it was different is the biggest understatement of all time. Even the funny things we were smoking was different. lol So even if Kid Rock did not really write this music, I still love this song. I used to think that the music from my generation would be forgotten in time, but thank god I was wrong. It was just too good to be forgotten!

All Summer Long by Kid Rock is a nostalgic anthem that captures the essence of carefree youth. With its catchy melody and infectious energy, the song evokes vivid memories of summer days spent by the lake, sipping whiskey, and basking in the sun. Kid Rock's raspy vocals add a raw authenticity to the lyrics, while the prominent use of Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama" creates a sense of classic rock nostalgia. The song's success can be attributed to its ability to tap into a universal longing for simpler times, resonating with audiences of all ages. While some may criticize its simplistic lyrics and lack of lyrical depth, All Summer Long undeniably serves as a fun and uplifting celebration of youthful escapism.
