As someone who had a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy when I was about 11 and looking back on how I was prepared for it, he's completely right: definitely don't forget to tell them about the ice cream!! In all seriousness, if anyone is looking for a great way to soothe the post-op throat and hydrate a kid around that age, I'd recommend you freeze their favorite gatorade flavor and crush it up into a slushy. It worked wonders for me!

My daughter is having her tonsils and adenoids remove. I’m worry because she is 5 1/2 years old and consider underweight. She weights 32lb is this something to worry about?

Hello, I have a question so on the 28th of this month I have an appointment to get my tonsils removed but my tonsils aren't even enlarged or anyting. is it normal to remove somebody's tonsils even though they're not enlarged at all and they are a normal size?

I have had mine out, I used to have lots of infections and they were enlarrged.
