This guy forgot to impart one crucial piece of information - a hairline in the process of becoming mature too has thinning (when the individual strands become thin) and miniaturuzation (strands become both thin and short, and eventually they cannot penetrate the scalp).

I’m 17 and it feels over the past few months that my hairline has started to thin slightly and even has sorta gone into my widows peak lol, so maybe a mature hairline will get rid of my widows peak idk. @@Sms-_- I mean, with my hairline now, it still just seems thin in the corners, particularly on my left side (where I part my hair). My hair is quite long and I'm always running my hands through it, which could result in it being quite thin at around that area. Not sure if its changed that much since my previous comment however I don't think it has. See I think I noticed my hairline start to change little when I stated growing it out which was from when I was 16/17. I'll be 18 at the end of this next month (April). I think the length of my hair has caused my hair in general to be finer because I noticed that as well however I'm planning to cut it short eventually however I'm continuing to grow it out so I can donate it because due to the length its at, I wouldn't want to go short when I may only have less than a year before its long enough to donate. Went on a bit of a rant there and I'm unsure if I answered your question, I hope I did. If there's anything else, please ask away!

Best way to know which hairline you have is to measure from the topmost wrinkle of your forehead to your hairline. If the difference is more than 1.1/1.2 inch, then you have a receding hairline. Trust me, I am almost a professional (doing research since the past 4 years)

You just need to keep an eye on any changes to your hairline. Everyone’s hairline matures at different rates and if you notice that the recession has changed and goes further into your scalp, then that would be MPB. I don’t know if anyone experienced the same thing, but for me one side of my hairline had matured before the other side. Now that side has stayed at the same spot for years and my other side has started to catch up and match it. Just keep an eye on it and dictate whether the recession has changed a lot, then consider taking medication if it bothers you a lot.

Okay i understand I am 22 and my temple on one side has also gone back quite a bit whilst the other side hasn’t changed and is perfect , I really don’t know what’s going to happen with my hair but once I get to 24/25/26 if I ain’t happy with my hairline ahh man I’ll most likely get a hair transplant but I just started to experience hair loss this year so I’ll give it a couple years until I am at them ages and I’ll see how it’s looking I hope my hair never goes back again or else hair transplant will be the route and to be honest I’ll get the hair transplant once I am 24/25/26 because I ain’t happy with the one side of the temple it’s annoying big time

Every race and ethnicity may experience some form of maturation of the hairline. Patterns may differ but the maturation has still occurred. Anyways, he mentions Caucasian males because about 94% of them undergo a mature hairline by the age of 18 or 20. When he says it occurs ages 17- 28 or so, that is actually including all races (not just Caucasian). Proof: look at the doc, his hairline is classic maturation.

@@UnknownUser_10 If you see no baby hairs then there is no miniaturization so you will probably not recede anymore, and thats why your hairline stayed the same. If you have no diffuse thinning then dont worry that much but keep monitoring your hairline just in case.

Nope I didn't and only time will tell I guess, I actually buzz cut my hair shortly after I left this comment and you know what? I looked different but holy fck I actually looked good too, so I stopped carrying about my hairline and if its thinning or not, so if you are worried about going bald or not the sooner you accept it that it MIGHT happened sometime in the future the sooner you will lift all the weight of your shoulders. At least that's my advice, having hair wont bring you hot women fast cars and happiness in life, however confidence will.. ;)

YES and that is why it is sooo hard to determine... It's the same fucking progress. I have even heard of people seeing lots of hair in their hands and overall thinning where it eventually just stopped.. Miniturization during maturing is shorter lifetime of hairs as well, so it should make sense to see more hair on your hands? Maaan hair loss is hell man. I feel like doctors never give the full story. For me I have the exact same hair as my grandfather it seems at the same age(22) even though it has thinned alot since I was 18. His hair managed to go grey before he died. But my hair is exactly like his at his age. My hairline is moving into a mature hairline, but with less density than before. So am I balding? Only time will tell :( Look at the youtuber "Luca Santangelo" he was in the same situation in 2018 in his start 20s, seems like he has not changed since then?

Idk if you're of Irish Descent or not, but its really common for them to undergo a rapid and sort of radical maturation of the Hairline around the age of 18-21. It scared the shit out of me, because at 19, the corners around my temples started to become VERY pronounced and did so very rapidly. I just KNEW it was all over for me lol. Then, once it hit a certain point it just stopped. Im 27, and I've got a pretty pronounced widow's peak,(which coincidentally is Identical to my father's hairline, who's 50 years old) but other than that, my hair is pretty thick and it seems to be receding at a totally normal progress. My dad said his did the exact same thing and that it's because we're Irish. Who knows?lol
