i'll be honest. i began working at 10 years old, unknowing of any "self-improvement culture" at the time, i was just interested in working my hardest and to my fullest potential (for context, i'm now 20) and while i can say it 100% worked out for me in the long run, i lack "essential" memories from being a kid, as all of my memorable moments consist of contexts related to work/my business. it seems great at first glance, but as you get older you soon realize that those days your grandfather reminisces on even at his age, are over for you, and never truly occurred in the first place.

A Dubai Civilian here. If you want to live here, collect as much as money possible. Dubai ain't place where you easily learn to invest and trade. Without any extra money, in just 2 months, you'll be a beggar in dubai (Yes, I have seen them). Dubai is place just like in other countries, it is just that in holds the largest building ever and has alot of billionaires. Self improvement ain't easy, You gotta alot more things to self improve than just "Wake up in 6 am and move to dubai". If he’s a middle schooler, I’m willing to bet that they ARE “partying” and not playing😅. 10 is, or was, middle school age, & the middle schoolers I went to school with were MUCH worse than this! Despite that, most are successful now, as adults. I was more like him, yearned for travel & business-owning runs in the family so it was prewritten. He won’t mind not having friends once he’s out living life freely, trust me. He probably won’t have kids too early as most do, won’t need to worry about late retirement & etc. With the way cost of living has gone up & parents bringing children they aren’t prepared for into this world, he’s starting at the “right” time🤣🤣

You'll be living your life then at 40 when inflation is so God damn high you'll regret never investing as you won't ever be able to retire if you aren't making 6 figures and have several million in iur bank account. Like us. You'll most likely be working through your 70s because ou didn't invest earlier. School is failing people and not preparing them for actual Life. This ain't an indi movie where you can coast through it. You need back up upon back up and you need to be mentally, physically and financially prepared for emergencies like working 2 or 3 jobs etc.

@@Kalakastik3 well there in lies a problem. Adults by large have a spending problem because it's what they also did in their teen years. Yeah I get it. Spent my money on stuff I'd enjoy. Weed and beer and some other stuff, but let me say this. If you don't get that spending on random crap in check. It's really hard to stop in your adult years when you have a full time job with real money to spend and very little responsibilities outside from housing yourself.

I think parents should make sure there child is enjoying there life instead of worrying about there future. My parents struggled too and everytime they saw me thinking about the future and stuff they would wash me off saying "you focus on your study , we will figure it out , you dont need to worry about this stuff. You have your entire adulthood for those stuff" they would also tell me not to worry about other things as long as they are alive and just focus on studying. They always tried there best to make sure i smile. I have many beautiful memories that i can cherrish because of my parents. My point is that dont let your child worry about financial conditions. They have to worry about all this things once they are old enough. For now let them smile. Just smile and have memories they can cherrish and look back and smile in future.

One day around the age of like 13 I just hit that moment where I was self aware of how my life was stagnant with ever day feeling like a timeloop with each day blurring with the last, ever since I have been very slowly approaching major lifegoals. not much progress has been made but no matter what I can never go back to that ignorant blissful life again. I understand this kid's mindset.

I feel like teenagers should undergo self improvement, but to an extent. Definitely go to the gym, find hobbies, get good grades in school, but enjoy your youth. Go out with friends, spend time with family, and just buy whatever you like. Your teenage years are yes a foundation for the future but you don't have to go monk mode and sacrifice important things. Hustling comes and goes but memories won't come back. Hustle, but to an extent.

I'm living it out like no other, I get in trouble at school, mess around with my friends and do alot of other childish things, as well as study. I'm not like the kid in the video. I cherish my childhood because, I know these days will never come back, but I don't think making some money on the side will affect me.

Those will be some of the best days of your life and where you can make friends for life like no other. You sound like you got a pretty good understanding of it bro. All the things you're describing are healthy alternatives to spending all day doing one passive activity! You're gaining new skills, having fun in diverse ways, exercising, no doubt meeting people, making memories etc. Your days are rich (figuratively) and filled with activity! What you aren't doing, or you haven't described it at least, is self-imposed child-labour under the illusion (presented by online brainwashing) that self-improvement has to mean becoming very rich and towering over your peers in status. These are self-destructive attitudes, because the vast majority of those "grinding" for their millions will crash and burn, but more and more people are led to believe they can achieve that kind of success if they grind hard enough. Capitalism is not a gym.

Let me explain some stuff. When I was younger prob like 4 years ago, around there. I got consumed by the self improvement. This made me stressed as a kid. Which of course is not good, I wanted to make money which u would think is good but I had the mindset to work while others were having fun, which may be good as you would think and it definitely can be but the problem of this situation is that I missed out on a lot. I became less social, stressed, and really it wasn’t good. I understand to a certain point of where you should self improve, sure u can still self improve, but do what really makes you happy too. Self improving is great but you get one child hood, that’s the way I see it. Listen life isn’t forever we only get around 80 years if we’re lucky to. Have some fun moments as a kid that you can share to your kids. I started to workout because some of it was “self improvement” or it was the fact I was tired of my physique. I started young and I love it though, I don’t regret that. I did learn some stuff during the self improvement time but at the same time I probably threw away memories with my friends, my family, my pets, and everything around me. Sure self improvement is good you can really make some money and make good, progress with yourself, but keep it healthy. Your mind when your young is really easily changed keep that in mind, it’s impacted a lot. I don’t think self improvement should consume your life when you’re young. This is my opinion, I am not right about everything I am human. I would like to see if you guys agree or disagree.

Agree completely bro, I have a friend who did this around 15yo, he was really skinny etc so first it started out as a gym obsession. Which I won't lie, at his peak of about 17-18yo all natural this kid was one of the largest humans i'd ever seen. But now, this kid got caught up in that grind life so hard that he literally never sees anyone anymore. Just focussed on his side hustle of hairdressing completely which has made him really successful at the cost of his friends (us). We can't spend time with him anymore because he works 12 hour days at 20yo. He works from home and only sees his family and gf that's it. We literally have to book an appointment with him to get a chance to see him at all. It was over when at about 18 after getting his gf he deleted snapchat so he couldn't see the group chat, then he felt like he wasn't a part of us anymore and we clearly told him that he could still join back if he wanted to but he was so dedicated to the anti social media etc yap self improvement life that no one could be around him unless he thought they were better than him or had something to offer to him. We are still friends with him now but only see him at social events every couple of months or so. Tbh though, i'm probably on the complete other end of the spectrum so i've fkd up too but one thing I can say is that I am so glad i didn't go down that path and lose my friendships and miss out on some goated childhood stories and memories xD

A lot of my childhood time was wasted on playing games, mostly minecraft and world of tanks. I told myself often, that I would be able to speak at least 4 foreign languages if I had spend that time more wisely. But now I know, that this was my childhood. I had fun. I probably wouldn't even be able to learn this many new things, because I was stupid af. I know that now is the time to learn new things. My brain is in it's prime, I still have a lot of time, now is the best time. It's not like I could only learn new things when I still was in primary school. I like what these kids are doing. They're developing good habits. If I had observed, that a kid that plays roblox and brawl stars for several hours every day suddenly uninstalls most of social media and games and starts reading books, eating healthier, planning things, exercising, I WOULD BE SHOCKED.

Ngl wouldnt be proud, i mean this is a waste of time for a 10 year old because their mind isnt capable and developed enough for skills like starting businesses, if a child wants to do self improvement away from games, then simple, maybe socialize more, and do other things like playing a rubiks cube instead of just video games, but getting rid of social life just for it is not a good thing.

But that’s the problem, if he’s spewing out this kind of rhetoric, he already is in a hustle scam. Its one thing to try and pick up certain responsibilities as a child. However, it’s a completely different thing to try to emulate these snake oil salesmen like Tate and their hustler mindset/lifestyle when you don’t even have the mental or social development to know that your childhood experiences play a huge role into shaping your personality, relationships, and habits. This kid needs to get off social media, stop letting internet influences shape his adult attitude that he doesn’t even have yet, and experience the natural ups and downs of childhood if he really wants to discover self improvement.
