@@ceoofselfish This isn't about their survival skills failing them. This is different for every individual especially for those individuals who had very un-supportive parents for their dreams. My mom is a bit more supportive than my dad in terms of me wanting to follow my dreams. And my dad is def. supportive to some level, but an example is that he never once allowed me to pursure the creative arts fields when I went to community college. I *easily* could have pursued various careers within the entertainment industry and nope, he didn't support me taking music courses and things like that-creative course I know for a fact that I *would* have succeeded in. I did succeed in other courses, but not the ones that could have gotten me super far in life. I will never stop loving music let alone singing, but I def. get super shy when it comes to singing. Both parents and friends alike need to learn how to say things that can actually help those they care about. I prob. took this too deeply, but I'll never forget when my dad told me this: "Photography is a really hard industry to get into right now,"-he knows I def. have the skills for that, but that statement alone-what will that do to one's mentality? For some, it makes them take major action and pursue it further, but for others like myself, it's literally just another "dream" that gets shut down tbh. My family might not agree w/my decisions, but the least they can do is at least Trust me and Support me...idk abt the trust part, but I feel like I don't have the support I need in regards to things like that. My original pursuit was going to be something to do w/Science until my dad made me drop a course back in high school-and yes, ik I'm dwelling on the past which can't be changed now since I was totally pushed towards creative arts fields instead & creative arts is expansive.

Don't fear death. What's most likely to happen is that in the end, you'll return to how things were before you were born. Just... Nothing. No consciousness to think, and so, no suffering. You won't even know it happened. So, instead of fearing it and letting your panic get the better of you, take a deep breath, and enjoy things in the moment. Live for the experiences, for the people, for the places. For the joy. That's what makes it all worth it. I find it helps to refuse belief in an afterlife as well. This is the only life we have, which is why it's worth living. You only have one life to live, so live it well, just for the sake of living.

Hey, my friend! I have the most important message to share with you!! Please read EVERYTHING! Bad news: we are all sinners, and as the punishment for all of our sins, we must spend eternity in hell after we die. Good news: God still loves us far beyond measure, and he sent Jesus Christ, his only Son, to take the punishment for all of our sins instead, on our behalf, by dying on the cross. Then, on the third day, Christ rose back from the dead! Jesus paid the debt for all of our sins (past, present, future) on the cross so that we wouldn't have to go to hell but be able to go to heaven! However, God considers that the debt for all of our sins is paid *the moment we truly believe* that Jesus paid the debt for all of our sins on the cross. All we have to do is believe to go to heaven (John 3:16)! Therefore, please do so! Praise and Glory to our God the most high! I want to tell you that God is always there for you with open arms! We are all beautiful sons and daughters of the Most High. Each and one of us are extremely precious to him! God wants to give us the greatest happiness and joy that doesn't compare to what the world provides. God is the only one who can fill the void that we have in our hearts. God loves us far beyond measure! God wants a relationship with us! He wants to be our best friend! We simply have to be open and let him into our lives. "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Psalm 147:3 "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10 I love you, and God loves you so much more!! Have a wonderful day :)

"when I was 20 years old, 40 seemed so far away" as a 26 year old, I actually don't feel the same. 30 feels like it's coming faster than it should, and I know 40 is just another 10 years from that. I am currently taking steps, slowly but surely, to hopefully improve my life significantly within the next few years or so, but nothing is guaranteed. I know I'm still young, but I'd like to be well off enough soon enough to be able to enjoy my life to the maximum degree by my mid to late 30s for peak satisfaction, but idk if I'll get there in time. @@atomiumjae I know this is a little belated, by I feel regrets on the deathbed are probably not all that correlated with the actions one took in their life(after all, there are an infinite number of things to regret), but their propensity for regret, itself. The best way to prevent that is not necessarily to take any particular speculative action, its to prevent regret in the strongest ways one knows how. I think it might just slightly be putting the cart before the horse. The sentiment is still solid; *do what you think matters* ; but don't act solely based on potential regret. This is seemingly backwards
@tdotitan8855
@tdotitan8855 3 ай бұрын
@@billyjoelbeans yeah I feel like people on their deathbed will naturally regret things. At the end of the day If we try to live our lives to not be regretful that in turn may make us more inclined to make bad risks instead of healthy ones and bad things happen. You will regret either doing something or not doing something. I think there is some freedom in accepting we make the best decision with the information we have and thats all we can do... and I think people that accept they did the best they can are able to accept regret. We can't get caught up in the what ifs or possibilities. Life is full of choices and we don't always know the right ones but we can try our best.

I needed this. I've spent the last few months worrying about the future. I spent a long time focused on nothing. Not the present, not the future, nor the past. I just glided through the last 20 years of my life as if nothing happened. I recently realized how little I've planned for my life, and started basically scrambling to plan. Worrying about what I'll do, where I'll be, ect. And while these are important for me to think about, it was all I thought about. I'm often too stressed to actually do anything because I'm thinking too hard of what I need to do tomorrow, and I don't do anything today. It's late for me as I type this, but I very much need to focus on the now. Honestly that's a comforting lie. Having fun is good, but you always want adequate balance in life. Not working for yourself now, cutting on future you. Yep you can die any moment, but there is also a good chance you will live a long live, and more you develop yourself early, better you live afterwards. Having said that you should not really regret having fun instead of grinding early life, that's not totally wasted... but you know, you could probably do better if you overdid that. Youth is objectively the best time to have fun... yet yeah you want balance.

Agreed. God created each and every person and He loves us so much, He doesn’t want anyone to go to hell. The bad news is we choose to go to hell when we die by committing sin any time we lie, steal, hate someone, look at a person with lust, or take God’s name in vain (by saying JC or OMG). I’m paraphrasing here, but the Bible says anyone who breaks even one of God’s laws is guilty of them all. A guy who murdered a cashier and stole the money 40 years ago would still be guilty of that crime no matter how many good things he does later in his life. You and I are the same way. In the eyes of a perfect God, we’re all guilty and deserving of an eternity separated from His love in a place called hell. And we’re helpless to save ourselves because, as the Bible says, all our righteousness is as filthy rags (we can’t make ourselves clean with a rag that’s already soiled with dirt). But God did something really wonderful to save us from having to spend out eternity in hell. God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to take our punishment by living a sinless life and then dying for the sins of the whole world. Jesus Christ died and was buried, but on the third day he rose again to life and is now seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven. And anyone who repents of their sins and believes in Jesus Christ is able to receive God’s free gift of salvation. All you have to do is pray to God with a sincere heart, admitting that you are a sinner, and asking Him to forgive you through His Son Jesus Christ. You’ll become a new person because God’s Holy Spirit will come to dwell inside you, He’ll give you a new heart with new desires and He will guide you through prayerfully reading the Bible, which is God’s word, and He will help you live your new life in Christ. There’s an online ministry called Video Game Gospel on TikTok and Discord that gives out free Bibles. They also have a Bible Study that meets on Discord on Fridays at 8 or 9 pm EST. They answer lots of questions there and on their website as well, for anybody who has them.

Please don’t fear death. Understand that you can spend eternal life with your creator, God. God is simply the Father wanting relationship with his son that he has created. Please accept this invintation and let Jesus justify and forgive your sins as he already has but you must have faith that he has done this. Recognize also that you are saved by Gods free gift of salvation (grace) Confess Jesus as Lors and that God rose Him from the dead. Repent of your sins and follow a life of living like God and build relationship with your creator.

As someone who's nearly 30, I'm speaking from experience here. When I was younger I had similar thoughts. It's when you first realize that life is limited and you start thinking like this. It can last years. But I found as I got older and really looked back at what had passed and how much time I (likely) still have, you start to calm down a bit. Instead of rushing to do everything because I'm scared of missing it before I die, I just slow down, take my time, enjoy the moment I'm in now, and stay in the now. Stay in the now. Don't stress about the far future. Just live in the moment now and appreciate it. I could die tomorrow, and that would suck, but we also don't yet know exactly what happens to the conscience mind when we die, so why worry. It's helped a lot with my mental health to not worry about the future and instead stay in the moment, charish those I'm with now, and do what makes me happy.

When I was a child and throughout my teenage years I was certain I was going to die by 18. I was living in an abusive home, and I belived I had had some premonition about my death before 18. It wasn't a fear at the time, it was a fact, at least that's how it felt. I had had this feeling from a pretty young age, so I had a long time to come to terms with it. On my 18th birthday I had a severe panic attack, not entirely because I was afraid i was going to die, but because I was still alive and that wasn't right, and I was afraid on a cosmic scale. I wasn't afraid that I would die, just afraid of not knowing how. But I lived, and then the next couple years I felt like I was living on borrowed time. But the years kept going by, and now I'm 26. I'm thankful and happy to be alive, and that's not really something I ever thought I would feel. I don't fear death, it will happen when it does and I made peace with it many years ago; but I am thankful for every day I have on this earth, in this body

I had a similar experience and, to an extent, still do. My 18th was my first *happy* birthday in a few years. I'm turning 20 in October, and the idea of a new decade is equally strange to me. I'm still not yet at the point where I can clearly picture myself existing in the future, but I'm closer than I used to be.

I relate a lot to your sad experience. When I was in middle school I thought I was going to k!ll myself after I graduate, but I didn't do it. When I was in high school, I also thought I was going to k!ll myself after I graduate, but I never had the nerve to do it. Having untreated mental health problems from a very early age, coming from an abusive household and being bullied made me feel like there was nothing good I could experience in life and that death is the only way to stop hurting. But life goes on and as we age, we gain more and more tools in our toolkit that can help us alleviate the pain and cope with life's difficulties. Currently I am 22 and life is so much easier than when I was a teen. I am capable of making my own decisions, I have a job and, most of all, I have a strong friend support network that I can rely on. A lot can change and the best thing we can do is let our hardships be learnt from, let them be turned into a guide telling us how to be kind and help other people with similar problems. This unique experience of being human can be so, so difficult, but also very rewarding and it is essential for us humans to help each other when we have the chance to. All my suffering has shaped me into the self I am today and in a way I am grateful for that. I haven't fully recovered yet, but it is somewhat comforting to read about similar experiences. I found your comment inspiring and I hope I can achieve your mindset one day.

I relate. When I was younger I couldn't see myself past the age of 24-25. I struggled a lot with depression and social anxiety, so I was too scared to live as an adult. All the responsibilities seemed so terryfying and I didn't know where I belong in this world and how I would manage to survive. My plan was to end my own life soon after being done with college. Luckily, I gave my life to Jesus. Also the pandemic started right after I finished college. My first thought was "woah, I didn't die as I scheduled so I guess that broke the universe or something and created this disaster" which I now know was silly and not true but it felt real at that time. Everything closed in my country so I had enough time to just sit still at home, rethink everything, apply the Bible to my life and make some changes. Now I'm almost 30 and I thank God a lot that I didn't do anything drastic to myself. Life is worth living, especially when you live it for someone so amazing as Him. ❤

Don't be sad. This life is really just not for having fun. Yes that is a part of it but that's not its purpose. The purpose of this life is that God tests us who is righteous and who is not so that He may reward everyone justly. The life that is desired, having never ending fun, is the one after death, in the paradise. If you don't believe in God or hereafter, this might be difficult for you but I assure you when you look into it with open heart you will realize what I am saying
@spiralghosts

why would your future self be disappointed? They are you. Your future self can understand with hindsight what you were thinking, why you're acting the way you do. There is no need to feel ashamed. Take on one day at a time to, some day, be your future self. You might not see a lot of progress with small steps, but if you do enough tiny things to make yourself feel better and to work with your own brain, it's gonna add up one day. And sometimes you "just" have to let the bad pass for a bit, as hard as it is.

Absolutely agree. I'm 38, and i spent most of my life in survival mode from trauma, too scared to try things, always telling myself i'd do it tomorrow (endlessly) so it never actually got done. I've wasted probably a good 20 years of my life. I'm married with kids now, bought my own home (which is exactly the goal i wanted for myself) but part of me still feels empty and unfulfilled. Not because of my family, they are amazing and bring joy to my world every single day. It's the impending thought that death comes for all of us, and I wasted so much time and only got maybe to 15% of my full potential. The silver lining is that I still have time, and that's the only thing that keeps me sane, but there's something that weighs heavy about knowing you could have been so much better, had you actually applied yourself rather than escaping life playing video games, partying, or scrolling KZbin mindlessly. If you are young and reading this, please heed my warning... pushing things to the next day is always going to leave you unhappy. In some scenarios it might even leave you with immense guilt. My dad and I's relationship wasn't too good, and on one particular day I thought I should call him, but the procrastinator in me was playing some video games, and I told myself i'd finish my game and call him after. I never did call him that night, and the next morning my sister called me saying he passed away. This absolutely crushed me, but there's some good to this. I know make it a MUST every single day to let my wife know how much i love and appreciate her. She receives it very well and me being forced to come to face with my past failures made me learn to never ever mess up like that again. I now show gratefulness and appreciation for the things I do have, and am still working on fixing my mindset of not thinking about the past in the sense of "things I shoulda had, had i tried harder" as that's a road that just brings misery.

Let me share my experience. I’m 32 and I’ve heard the same“seize the day” type of advice many times and tried to practice. What I learned from this is, this mindset can easily burn you out. I tried to maximize my productivity, set my goals clearly and go like an unstoppable train. I started churning out what my emotions want to do to achieve what rationality tells me. No doom scrolling, yes to practice and act effectively. It looks so right, but I constantly suppressed inner conflict between emotion and rationality. Mental war rages in me everyday, everywhere. Often I “win” and it gives some satisfaction, but I was never able to stop the fight. Eventually I got so tired that I felt like my dreams are no more fascinating and therefore useless. I lost passion and became numb. The habit of doom scrolling came back gradually. After some time, I realized I can’t keep negating my unproductive emotions anymore. No matter how stupid it is, what I want is uncontrollable. Shame on me, but this is the reality I face. So I let it go. But it was the time I started to recover. The more time I spent unproductively, the more I can feel right. My brain started working again. Also I regained the interest for my dreams. I still do scrolling mindlessly (so I find this video haha), yet I feel like I lead my life naturally. TL;DR: don’t neglect your emotion to stop wasting your time. It will hurt you.

I'm 54 years old and if it means anything to anyone, in my experience this is good advice and the holiday analogy is a good one. One thing i will add that never meant anything to me when i was young but i see it now... as well as having fun, at some point in your life try and build something that's important to YOU, so when you look back at the roller-coaster ride that will be your life, there is something there that you can be proud of and say "I built that, just me". Oh and don't get hung up on age/timeframes, it doesn't matter WHEN you do anything (despite what society will have you believe) as long as you fit it in at some point.

I'm only 19, the endless thought of death keeps on filling my head when I was already 16, I have no friends, no siblings, I'm asian (chinese), and during my school days back when I was 16-18, if I'm not indulging in video games or meaningless online interactions, all I can think of would be the meaning of my life, why do I exist, what am I even doing, it is almost as if my life is already over before it even started, and the thought of that death will come to me one day and I can do nothing to stop it is always there. It is because of this thought that got me to not feel like doing anything in my life at all, as I know it will all end anyways, even before this happens, I had never tried to study hard anyways, I had never do my homeworks, I already have a bit of addiction to playing video games or being online in general, I had never felt like trying to accomplish anything in my life, and these thoughts only solidified them, and it doesn't help that I started highschool the same year when covid happened, I thought I would finally be able to put effort onto studying, and work for a better future for myself, but I just never did, I think not having any friends at all really did a dent to my mental, I was never good at socializing at all, so I just feel like a loser that have to resort to staying online to feel good. On top of the though of death being inevitable, I basically gave up on my life. But somehow, because I was born very intelligent, I was still able to get a good enough grade for a university degree with minimal studying (I only started extremely hard focus on my study 2 months before the very final exam). Now, I'm an adult, and a university student, and just by turning 18, I have finally realize the truth of life, and I was very fortunate I was given a chance to redeem my life, even though I basically gave up it. At the start of my semester, I was still struggling, struggling to keep up with the self-discipline nature of being an adult, or being an university student in this case, I was so used to my teachers and parents putting pressure on me, giving me soft way to learn, but for adults, there is only learning the hard way, I got 1 gpa only the first semester, and I had to learn the hard way, nobody can help me other than myself, and now I think I have grown from this, really. I am no longer strangled by the thoughs of my life being worthless, the thoughs of giving up my life. Now, watching this video, it really feels like I am being completely called out, even though I had a really bad childhood, I still feel very nostalgic, the carefree-ness I've had, the different video game I have played for such a long time, just to inevitably give up on them due to a loss of passion, they really strike me hard when I look back at the memories. I already knew this would happen, I already knew that being an adult is not better than being a child, but time doesn't care about that, and now, I am in the state that I knew would happen to me, it's like you said, time just goes and it is just like that. So treasure the moment, live your life to your own fullest, ans that is exactly what I plan to go.

I used to spend the majority of my time pondering over how I wish I could go back to the past. I spent days crying in my room telling myself “Things will never be the same as before.” But I realized that’s what makes life.. life. Change is going to happen whether anyone likes it or not. I’ve been living more in the moment, thanks to this video for helping me notice that. To add on some other thoughts; I really do feel scared for my dad. I hate to even think and say this, but I know he’s nearing the end of his life. I’m just starting my adulthood, I actually graduated HS a few days ago. I did it to make my dad proud, because I know he probably won’t live to see my little brother graduate in 5 years from now. My dad’s the strongest person I know, I hope he enjoyed his life. Even though he’s still primarily healthy for an 80 year old, anything can happen anytime. Tell your friends and family you love them.

I am a young teen watching this, and my dad passed away in 2017. I wish he lived for even just a few more years, because although I know I would still be sad now, I would have more memories with him. The only thing I remember was his last vacation in the summer before he died, I don't remember anything else, even if I try really hard. And he wasn't around for half the trip because he was going to car auctions because he loved cars, he rarely went with us to the amusement park we were there to go to. He spent the last friday that we were there at the amusement park, and all i remember from that trip was walking on the sidewalk with him to a bakery in the morning and going on one of the rides at the amusement park with him. This trip wasn't even a happy trip either, he was drinking a lot (the cause of his passing), but I didn't know that. To have only one memory with your father is very sad. My message to any teenagers out there seeing this comment that are always like "mom, drop me off over here, i don't want them to see"; your life is too short for that, your parents life is too short for that, yes, your parents may be alive today, but you don't know what will happen. You never know how much time you have left with your loved ones. So, please, just let your mom drop you off and don't give a crap who sees. Nobody is ever going to remember that, because it's not important for them to remember it, it's not a problem. If you play video games a lot, set them aside for a bit each day and spend time with your family. The video games will not stop being there, they won't vanish. You may want to stay on the games now, but later on you'll regret not spending more time with your family, and you won't even remember playing those video games, or scrolling through TikTok, so please, go spend some time with your family. I know how it feels to get time cut short with someone. Make the most of the time you have with them, please.

hey i found it helps just to think of big and small things you would like to do (even making our space we are in nicer for us, or building up a skill in something we would love to get good at) and to do even small steps to build up doing them.. that takes our mind off the stresses.. also doing things like burpees and getting our heart rate up (if it is safe for you to do that) helps flush out the depressing and stressful feeling biochemicals from our system and be kind to yourself.. and yes it can be depressing, but avoid watching stuff that is heavy, that helps a lot.. our thoughts get affected by the input we get so if you do watch videos it helps to watch fun inspiring ones.. good luck! when i look back on my life i wish I'd just not worried so much and just spent real time with people who liked me.. spend some real time with a friend, just having a laugh about things and cheering each other up, they may feel the same and would be glad to spend some nice time with you and that can build up how you feel too

I'm 27, so no young teen, but damn you speak some true facts. Ever since I was a child I'm afraid of death. Being close to my 30s now and it's only getting more serious. I count it as I'm already on 1/3rd of my life (If i were to live til 80-90 years). Maybe I'm already over half my life, you never know when it ends.. Recently I was on a weekend holiday and had a advertisement of skydiving. I've always wanted to do it, so I was like fuck it I'm going for it. Being afraid of heights I wondered how it would be. It was very tense to jump at the start, but after that it was pure enjoyment. Lived that in my full 'present moment' and a core memory has been saved for the rest of my life. I just wanted to share this and I hope to encourage others with this to do the same. Don't leave opportunities for granted, because you never know if it will occur again!

I hope you can talk to someone you trust about this. It's the kind of thing that a lot of people think about, but if it's consuming your life, you deserve to get some extra support. I know it's not always easy, but for me making sure that I did things that I found enriching in my day, and planning my time so that I lived with purpose (even if I was too tired and I could only plan playing video games or watching TV - resting is good for you, and longer absorbing activities are better for your brain and sense of self than a lot of the short form content you get on the internet these days) distracted me from nastier thoughts, and brought my brain back to good things. I'm rarely kept awake by my thoughts spiralling these days (I also use a sleep podcast or familiar quiet music if I am caught in a spiral). I hope you get some peaceful sleep :~) - Helen in Australia

@@helenm1085 This, about filling your life with more engaging things, is so important. I think this is absolutely the best way to combat these sorts of thoughts, to fill your life with other things that you end up really spending time to think about instead. But, even in the event that you can't, due to circumstances for example, you are still never powerless. I personally also struggled with existential dread, and panic attacks because of that dread, every night for years as a teen. I was very sick and isolated, but I also just got so sick of that fear, I had to do something. I got sick of distracting myself all the time. I wanted life within my own headspace to not feel so terrifying all the time, and figure out how to confront these thoughts directly so that they could no longer have that power over me. So...to do this, I turned to my self-talk. If you tell yourself something enough times, you will start to believe it. This is very personal, of course, so you have to figure out what feels most comforting to you. I started telling myself every night things that I find to be comforting related to death and existence. What has helped me most personally is to tell myself that existential dread is simply proof that I do not need to understand existence, or that I am not meant to, and this allows me to come up with my own reasons for existence, and my own purpose. Over time, I began to experience that I suddenly had much more control over my train of thought than before, able to redirect my thoughts away from that fear in a way I had never experienced before...because days of telling myself that became months became years, and I truly began to believe it was true. I am no longer sick and isolated as I was, and am generally in a much better place. I still have to tell myself this every night to this day regardless. The ways my life has become richer all help occupy my mind, but even then every once in a while I still have moments of panic. And I have other somewhat odd triggers, such as that I can't even read or think about outer space because the idea of how small I am in such a vast universe brings me so much terror. I experience derealization due to the trauma of that isolation and that makes it even worse. But, again...that self-talk, which I have now been doing every night for about 6 years, makes it all seem so insignificant to my life in general. I am now very quickly able to ground myself as a result even when I do slip back into panic. Hope this all makes sense, tried not to ramble too much 😅 About distraction, I think it is still a more than valid (and often necessary) coping mechanism, but in my own experiences here, to always constantly attempt to distract rather than confront and redirect can end up backfiring, in which case I believe changing one's own mind in this way becomes a very useful tool.

This video is SO DEEP! I'm 20 years now and I have this feeling that I've already lived too long without truly enjoying life. As you age, you might become less energized and more responsabilities steal your life time like it's nothing. Also your perception of time becomes less accurate because of repetition and routine and now 1 day might feel like 1 hour when you was a child. Therefore, a 40 year old is not half way, but more than half way to death. So if you're 20 years like me, PLEASE enjoy your damn life once for all before it vanishes from existence!

28 here. This is so effing true. I thought my mentality would stay young forever and I always wondered when and how one turns into an adult mentally because at 24 I thought I should already have turned into an adult... And then at some point the inner child gets quiet and a preform of death begins.

Think about the fact that this comment will be cemented in history. Forever. Isn't that just crazy? People may think once you're gone you're gone but a simple KZbin comment can give you a footprint that will last forever, no matter how obscure it is, someone will find it one day

The fact that I remembered the last two shorts- 😅(And that was hours ago…) Still, I’m almost 14, and this video actually helped me a lot. I’m always worrying about stupid things I’ve said in the past, first impressions on people I saw as a bad display, embarrassing moments, and publicly brain farting. And when I’m not worrying about the past, I’m worrying about the future! I’m starting high school this September and I’m nervous, I’m worried whether or not I have the right career idea in mind, if I’ll make enough to live when I’m older, when I’ll move out, if I’ll get to experience the miracle of becoming a mother someday, if I die alone or young… I know I’m just “a kid”, but I’ve always felt older than my age inside and it’s like I’m always waiting to really get out there and start a life for myself. People always push children into growing up way earlier than they should be, teaching them that they have to colour perfectly inside of the lines and be successful or else you won’t be taken seriously. And I find that the age where this pushing starts is getting younger and younger each year! In today’s society, you’re considered a child for about five years and then it’s time to toughen up. That’s what I see happening, at least. As a cause, we lose our inner child and wish we could go back to the carefree days of play and innocence. Nothing’s stopping you from doing something you used to love when you were a kid to experience a bit of that again. Back to the point, this was a great video. I know I’ve been typing this comment way longer than the actual video’s length, to which I apologize for. I tend to ramble when it comes to writing at times, though it’s the complete opposite with me speaking in person. 🥲 I wish more people would see this! Have a great day and live life to its fullest! -Ari.

I'm twice your age-- I want to say nothing has changed from when I was your age. Yes, you will have the wrong career, sometimes you won't make enough to live, you may never be financially successful or successful enough in a relationship to be a mother, you may die young. I can't reassure you because so far all of that has happened to me but the dying young part. But you will be okay. And if you aren't okay, you won't be alive to know it, ha ha. Life is a struggle and if it wasn't, we wouldn't have motivation to do better, be better, and make the world better. I'm sure that's not reassuring to know, and I don't mean to act as if your choices mean nothing- they do. But the best laid plans of mice and men gang aft awry. Just do the best you can-- it will be enough.

I ain't gonna be on my deathbed wishing I didn't play more video games. I enjoy them, most of the time, but when I don't I stop playing. It's okay to have things you do for leisure, as he said time enjoyed is not time wasted. Just be less judgemental of yourself, you can either look at it as I played this game for 1000 hours, what a waste, but usually when you look back you remember the fun times you had playing, you can also look at it as you spent 1000 hours enjoying yourself and having fun. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that

yea the problem is for a lot of people (including me) we barely remember any of the hours we spent. Like the video said, time spent having fun is not time wasted

"You didn't know you were making memories, you were just having fun." I've had this quote in the back of my mind for some time now. I'm not a person who thinks about death, as I've understood that it's just a natural thing that's not worth thinking about. Life is meant to be lived, not to be thought out in your head. Enjoy life, go about your day, have fun. Start that project, or continue that project, talk and hang out with your friends and family. Do things even if they might be scary at first. That's what life is about: to be explored, have fun, and be unique to you and your experiences. I truly believe there's not more to it than that, and I'm thankful for that. Because it means I can choose for the most part on how to live it. Do what makes you happy, and if you can't, then strive to get there someday in a way that's meaningful to you.
