@Dasha Nun making fun of someone all the time isn’t toxic it’s tough love. My dad makes fun of me all the time and because of that people talking about me badly doesn’t hurt, family and friends make fun of each other all the time as long as they aren’t serious insults they aren’t toxic

The way Dr. Mike suddenly got so concerned when his nephew said he has no friends (and then he said he has 3) & went on to mention trust & bullying. You can tell how much he loves his nephews. It’s really sweet how close a bond they have.

I like how Steven asked about the motion sickness. I can ride roller coasters and spinning rides just fine. However, if I read or write in a car, I get motion sickness. Thumbs up Steven for asking that! Learn something new everyday.
@arisymphony6 жыл бұрын
That can be a brain thing. Your body and your inner ear feel like they're moving, but you don't see the movement so it confuses your brain and you get motion sickness. That's why people sitting in the front of the car are less likely to get motion sick. It's not that they're moving less, it's that they can see the movement better.

I'm an introvert, I like hanging out with 2-3 good friends. But I do like my alone time a lot more. Just because a person is an introvert doesn't necessarily mean they don't like hanging out or being around people. Just that more often than not it can be physically and mentally draining having to socially interact with others so we need that alone time to "recharge our social batteries". I know that's not the case for everyone but for a vast majority it is

It was really nice of Dr. Mike to say ''I actually want to make a comment. Am I allowed to make a comment?'' because that, everybody, is how you gain trust and respect from someone (/younger than you). That's how you'll be someone's confidant. Asking for permission is really important, you being a family relative does not warrant you anything automatically. And not every opinion is welcomed and appreciated.

Dr. Mike, emotions are primar to consciousness. So when the child hear something that upsets him, something like bullying, it makes him sad naturally. What he does with this emotion, it what he sees around him from elder people in family, from friends etc. But the child feels this and acknowledging that that is OK to feel sad at the beginning is essential to overcome it. What a boy hears, even in adulthood, not only as teenager, when someone says: only you choose what to feel? It may understand it like: When I am hurt, something is wrong with me, because I chooses not right emotion. Other, who abused me, are OK, but the problem is me. The message is right, but words have to be put right as well.

I got the impression that Stephen was trying to change the subject to protect Ari. (Similar to how Ari tried to talk about Mike's new shirt. Ari literally said 'new topic' *3 times* (*) within seconds of each other while Dr Mike ploughed on with the clearly sensitive (and, in fairness, important) subject). I know Stephen seemed to be trying to change the topic to be all about him, but I feel it was actually a much more selfless act of support. (*: OK, one of the 3 times he said 'different topic' instead of 'new topic', but still...)
