That's my son on bass, he was 16 at the time. The video is from the 2017 School of Rock All-Star tour (six teams toured throughout the US). They had only been playing together for a week and had maybe played the song five times live before going into a studio in Chicago.

The whole time watching this I expected Fripp to show up, sit down and give a menacing look to the kids as they played.

WOW!! These kids were just thrown at the Fripp, Belew, Levin and Bruford era of Crimson...and nailed it. That was pretty freaking awesome

Most kids their age can't hold a conversation with you yet these kids NAIL a King Crimson song...THAT song especially, WHOA❗❗

Younger generations play way better than we did for sure! No one in high school sounded this good LOL!

These kids are like six perfectly-fitted puzzle pieces. Obviously, the bassist and drummer are on Expert level, but the two vocalists are just so TIGHT in the mix that it gives me chills. Also, Belew Guy was awesome, but Fripp Girl was keeping time like a champ and you could see that she and the bassist were in. the. frickin. ZONE. 👍👍👍

I know you guys have already featured Foxes and Fossils, but, you HAVE to review the video Love is the Answer, with Chase doing the lead. You will be blown away with her voice!

There’s another SOR version with Greta on vocals that’s equally good but slightly different interpretation. Kudos to all these kids on both versions, they are all exceptional! Check out the other one, I would love to hear your thoughts on them as well.

This is so beyond awesome. Now I know what bugs me about the original recording; Belew's wailing & keeping vocals. No problem with Discipline (a little with Beat) and no problem with anything later. But I didn't realize it until now.

As a former relatively-successful junior kindergarten division, elite level mathlete, I humbly tip my now-withered Urban Sombrero to these talented younglings, whilst also simultaneously dropping my old school protractor set in admitted defeat!! However, that one rather husky-voiced gal seems to be the undercover narc in that musical high school squad, or perhaps she was either held back for a decade and is a musical ringer! Regardless, as proficient and tight as this performance turned, out still kinda miss Mr. Levin's superlative Chapman Stick action (but not on this track, perhaps?) and delicious backing harmonies. Oh well, guess I'll go check out the genuine article in 5,4,3,2, THRAK!!!

Great comment as always brother Avery. I was wondering the same thing about that particular female singer, but I guess she's just an early bloomer. I was definitely not a mathlete, and probably stabbed myself with a protractor a few times. These kids do rock, impressive, especially on a track such as this. Listening to young people rock out like this helps control my cyclothymic moods.🤘

@@UnhingedReactions Sadly, said I was once a mathlete, not an English minor(!), so I had to do the Google for that big unpronounceable word at the end of your above response!! Good to know that you enjoy a nice bicycle ride a la the former Little Farrokh Bulsara! Yeah, nice to see the younger generation performing on legit instruments and singing in tune without the assistance of too many of those Fakakta newfangled, straight-out-of Tron computer devices...L'Chaim!!

Hi. First time see and hear your channel. Well done by kids! I'm older than you and be lucky to live all this time with all kind music. Maybe you find time to react Pink Floyd "High Hopes" cover by Nightwish (live version, good quality). Greetings from Finland.
