My oldest was born in Germany when I was in the army. I would put the headphones on her belly and play pink floyd, Sabbath, blue oyster cult, Uriah Heep etc... he's been the lead guitarist in the band 'jungle rot' for years. I didn't get to see him play until about 5yrs ago for reasons out of my control. Watching him play was unbelievable. If your girls follow and you can jam with them I know that it will be remarkable for all involved. Just found your channel brother and as an old white man, I can't understand all the different ways to spell the same name lol. I've had a crap week and Watching this and the previous tool reaction by you made me smile. Love the sincerity I get from you. The joy you have in music. Thank you, Brother.

I cry everytime I hear these kids because they are living my dream. I so wanted to be a singer as a kid and have fought my whole life to prove I could sing. Every cover from O'Keefe is amazing!!

I couldn't agree more. Literally brings a tear to my eyes every time I hear them. Their cover of 46 and 2 is legendary and Kala's voice has matured since then as this video is proof of. Talk about faith in the future of music, these kids absolutely reinforce that.

Talented as hell and love Kala. She did 46&2. Her voice chills me to my spine and entrails. Others who have done since haven’t captured her vocal magic. Adam Jones has and loves em. Said should be on radio IIRC.

You really should do the version of Iron Maiden's "The Longest Day" by this O'Keefe foundation with Kayla singing when she's 11. The lyrics are dark and graphic about what D-Day really was like, and for an 11-year-old girl to sing this Iron Maiden song about that subject is kind of surreal. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oaWYnmiOgdRmmJI Pull me under is also amazing, again Kayla singing around 12 years old with a completely different group of kids again. The O'Keefe Foundation also did different versions of The Pot by Tool. I believe version number one is the one you would like best...it's the most rocking version of it with a different singer than Kayla... but a simply amazing guitarist and drummer who are both probably 13 or 14 years old.

O'Keefe did 5, I think, versions of The Pot, Kala sings on version 2. You should also check out their video of Pull Me Under by Dream Theater, Kala is the singer on that one, too, and it's earlier than 46&2 by a year or two, and she absolutely nails the vocals, as do the rest of the kids with the music. And nothing by Dream Theater is easy to duplicate.
