Gabriel Wayne when the band was in court the HUGE argument was that Andy and Mike were//weren't "actual" members of the band bc that is what would be the deciding factor in what royalties they did or didn't have owed to them after the band ended. So, seeing moz throw his arms up in argument even back then shows how he kinda felt all along

I have no words to describe Morrissey's beauty. He looks like an angel, an incarnate poetry. He's beyond everything and everyone. Look at him, he's absolutely perfect in the smallest details, on the skin, on the symmetrically perfect features of the face, his voice is like a spilled perfume, the silky and smooth hair, his slim, white and delicate body, he's like a flower. He's a deity

Like 500 times. Such a shame this band broke up so soon. Morrissey has found fame, but I believe a lesser fame than he would have found with The Smiths (and I understand his bitterness about all that). And he's too loyal to his current band to replace any of them... Morrissey will never stab anybody in the back or be a hypocrite. Even if it's just to prove it a point... Because it's happened to him. "I've seen this happen in other peoples lives..."
@stevnated

Ha ha Morrissey doesn`t know the meaning of loyalty and didn`t hesitate to stab his band mates in the back. Mike Joyce and Andy Rourke had to take him to court to get some share of royalties after he tried to imply they were no more than session musicians. That said The Smiths were the finest band of the 80`s and helped me through my adolescence and I was lucky enough to see them live a number of times. and what a charming interview this was.
@stevnated
@stevnated 10 жыл бұрын
Well, my understanding is that Joyce's and Rourke's cut was the agreement all along from the beginning... I dunno, didn't seem fair to me that they were happy with their share at first then changed their minds (at least Joyce did). They were way more than session musicians, but Morrissey and Marr really were the Smiths, IMHO. Anyway, I agree this was a great video. I had just finished Morrissey's autobiography when I originally posted, so maybe I was a bit biased.
