"Will you be looking down on me when you're in heaven?" "Yeah . And you know how you're be able to know? When you're thinking of doing something that you ain't supposed to do, and then you have a second thought, that's gonna be me saying "hey, don't do that". That's when you know i'm watching you. " Man that was so beautiful yet heartbreaking at the same time. God bless this precious family.

Both my parents were smokers and died of lung cancer before I turned 25. There are times I hate them for choosing smoking over our family. When he said he felt guilty for smoking, man, that really made me feel bad for blaming my parents. We all make mistakes, and at the end of the day I know my parents meant no harm. I started smoking in my teens. No one starts smoking to hurt their family, especially children that aren't even an idea in the head of a teenager seeking to be cool amongst their peers. Addiction is barely an abstract idea to most teenagers. The problem with smoking is that people tend to start young with a self centered teenage brain and after a year it's too late. I've gotten addicted to a couple prescription drugs over the years. Barbiturates and opioids are child's play compared to nicotine. My wife quit smoking about 5 years ago, and she still has a craving at least once a day.

Cancer does suck. I work at a preschool and recently learned that one of our kiddos in our afternoon class is fighting cancer (Luekemia) for the second time. She had been in remission, and we found out it has returned. We're hoping that the cancer is "only" in her blood, and not in her bones, but it still sucks. She's also only 5 years old. :(

Stage 4 all you can hope is that they're comfortable with the few months they have. My uncle found tumors all over her chest and bone cancer (he ate healthy and was active) cancer thrives in weakened immunity. I'm working in a laboratory which research anticancer drugs and new drug delivery to target cancer. It's a long fight and we're trying our best. We do fail a lot. Tumor tissues are mischievous and they can develop mechanisms to hide themselves. Sometimes the drugs work well in vitro with very good results, but fail in cell assay or in vivo. Sometimes it gets tiring, but then I think of people suffering like this man, and try not to give up.

This is physically hurting me, my heart is physically clenching and aching... my grandfather died of chronic lymphoma when I was in 6th grade, in his final days the doctors couldn't do anything and he was discharged to be nursed in our home so he can be with his family. He was a writer and he loved to read and write poetry, and he used to read to me what he wrote and I used to read to him my poems everyday in the morning before going to school, one day I tried to wake him up to read to him but he didn't wake, me being a child, I didn't think much of it and thought he was fast asleep.. I went to school that day and when I came back everything and everyone in my home was silent.. I was told he went to heaven with god and Angels and that he was still watching me, I saw my father's tears for the first time in my life in that day, as he tried to hid them from me in secret. I didn't understand what death meant at the time, I just knew i have lost a best friend.. Now that I'm older, I keep thinking of that moment, that in his final moments when he was scared and in pain, when he probably needed someone to be next to him and love him, I just left him and walked away, it makes me feel so guilty, that is still my biggest disappointment until today. It took me +2 years in therapy to move on from that... I can't say I've completely recovered, but I'm in a much better head space, and I have the will to live my life to the fullest, and to help people and spread kindness and love and generosity just like he did, when the day comes I'll make him so proud of me❤ He was a good man, and I will forever be grateful, and I know we'll meet again someday.. :)🌱

Woah..Thank you for sharing your story with us..probably all of us went through hard times, but it gets better.really. I also had a hard time when my grandpa died, 9 years ago. When I was a kid back then we used to play the piano together and he knew that I always loved to play something for him and he sometimes played something for me before I went to sleep. So he decided to give me the piano as a gift, before he died because he wanted that I always remember him. And I really do. Every time I play the piano or even If I just look at his old metronome, I think about him and sometime's I start crying. But that's okay because i know that he's in a good place. And I believe the same for your grandpa. He is in a good place, taking care of you You probably won't read that but I just wanted to tell you that I really admire you because you think that positive about it.

My grandad died when I was seven. He wasn't sick. He wasn't hurt. He just went. In the night. Nothing was wrong with him. He did, however, call up all his relatives that night. He asked my dad if he could take him to the hospital. He said there was a pull at his heart. My dad said he'd do that first thing in the morning. But my Grampa's morning never came. My father still beats himself about that, even though it's been years.

My grandfather was perfectly healthy, who was to know? I don't believe it was my father's fault. He, a doctor, came back home after being on-call for several hours over-time and finds it hard to drive at night. He's the type to keep silent and blame himself for the smallest things. He carries the guilt of what he could not have known, and here you are being so insensitive about both of them!

When he said "tell me the truth"...it's a heart to heart talk between grandson and grandpa, no more cameras just family conversation at that point especially when he said " is there anything you want from me and grandma house after I'm gone"??

The conversation between the grandson and the grandfather really struck a cord for me. My grandma had stage 4 cancer too. This video is on another level of deep.

Sending you hugs and love. I’m sure there is nothing that can glue you back from the pain. But I know he misses you as much as you miss him. That’s sometimes what keeps us going. The love in our hearts. 💚💚

That was quite the episode. But very tastefully done~~the children are so thoughtful. And Pop-Pop was thoughtful in how he explained things to the kids.
