Kids Playroom Declutter & Organize with Me 2023 | Toy Storage & Organization Ideas | Speed Cleaning

We're back to decluttering and organizing my entire house, sharing some Toy Storage Organization Ideas and tackling our Kids Playroom because it is MESSY! I'm not looking to be an extreme minimalist but I do want to be way intentional about living more MINIMAL! We're starting in the playroom with an EXTREME declutter, lots of speed cleaning, and revamping our toy organization system. Then I'll share some of my best home organization hacks and how to maximize your space in a home that has limited storage!

Wow.. looks really good! My kids only had about 1/5 of the toys you have and it’s amazing that even with a lot less toys, they keep really busy and they always kept playing with just 10%. …… Less is more🥰

My kids complained a lot because they couldn’t see the toys easily in the old bins, and that also made it more difficult to clean up when they were finished playing. This new system addresses both of those issues for them 😊

I think it will! I loved the last bins we had but the girls complained that they couldn’t easily see what was inside of them. I’m sure this will fix that issue while still keeping everything organized! 🤗

Another great video! This brings back memories, mostly bad. I had just one child, but that girl was a hoarder from day 1! I dreaded those toy declutters, which usually happened after I stepped on one of those sharp little game pieces, barefoot! Really can’t say I miss those times.

👵🏼Hi Megan, Happy Easter! Your playroom is looking so good now with the clear acrylics. They are so much better. Your playroom is looking so much better now & with the clear acrylics 😮to see all their play things. When it's out of sight it's out😢 of mind! Those tiny little toys are a pain. I remember saving them & picking them up every day for quite a while for my 4😢 kids. Then I just quit buying things😢 with so many extras or not buy it at all. I have ONE kid - she's about to turn three in a couple days - do Christmas and birthday gifts come in all around the same time. My husband gifted her a GIANT car track/garage thing and now I have ZERO space for all her other stuff 😅 I've been working on her stuff the entire day and I'm still at a loss on how to organize it all (it all has to stay in her bedroom as we don't 'keep' toys in any other area in the house unless she's actively playing with them

What if you used a baggie to micro sort the little things. Then the girls can just pull the baggie of littles and put it back after. It would keep it sorted within the bins. Our daughter had Polly pockets and little pet shops when she was little. I totally understand the mind numbing part.

I tried that method a couple of years ago & hated it. It was much harder to keep track of pieces, store away, & find the games we were looking for; and not to mention most of the board parts of board games don’t fit into a gallon sized ziploc bag. I’m glad it works for you, but we prefer to keep everything in their original box.

We have 2 kids with a large age gap, so it’s totally normal for us to have this many toys since we’re handing down from our older child to the younger 😊

Our daughter, her hubs, and our 2 granddaughters live with us. So far the girls have not really got into barbies yet. This past C hristmas they received 4 Disney princesses. So far they are still dressed and have hair. The girls are 5 and 2. They like magnetic tiles and kinetic sand. We find that easier to sweep or vacuum up. Play doh is a nightmare on carpet. Do you keep toys in your girls rooms? I hate stuffed animals! They drive me crazy. The older one has her toddler bed filled so theres no room for her anymore! Luckily she is getting a bigger bed soon but we are going to try to keep it down to a number. The younger one only has a few favorites that she naps with or is a comfort guy. We are moving in about 2 months. So everyone will be getting their own room! Yay. It isnt a new house so it will take some brainstorming and paring down to keep it sensible and better contained. Right now toys are housed in our living room in empty diaper boxes. Even though the original playroom was upstairs. Oh the pack n play is used for toy storage now too. Not a good look but it does help the adults prevent an ER visit 😮
