I personally like both sorts, because it can feel kinda funny to have that juxtaposition. And it's certainly preferable to the true crime podcasters and KZbinrs who talk about their stories as if its not a super serious thing. But in any case I like to watch lost media stuff and have always hated horror, so the creepier presentation for some was kinda like getting to dip my toes into horror without needing to be actually scared. It does make me wonder about the origins of the "dark" presentation of lost media no matter the topic, and if it has any relation to the old trend of "Lost Episodes" being a very common creepypasta type. That was always the thing that kept me away for so long personally lol

I'm 15, and I personally think preschool cartoons and shows doesn't deserve all the hate. Most people who hate these media aren't even on the demographic dedicated specifically to the show. Let them have fun. Sometimes I still watch these shows for nostalgic purposes.

Has anyone tried contacting the creator of Little Einsteins? At the very least, maybe they could describe the pilot's full plot, even if they don't have the full thing.

The creator was actually contacted in 2023! Here’s what he said: "I actually found the pilot script I wrote for LITTLE EINSTEINS as well as an early draft of the bible (both attached). As you can see, the show went through a lot of changes, but this is how it all began. I was simply told to watch the BABY EINSTEINS material and come up with a show inspired by it for preschoolers. I was hired to write a bible and pilot and so was another writer, Mitchell Kriegman. Our separate material was tested on kids five different countries. I believe it was the U.S., Spain and France plus two I can't remember. Mine tested higher so Playhouse Disney went forward with it. The test was done by creating storyboards and a vocal track and presenting those to kids. Hope this is what you were looking for. Feel free to use this material how you'd like. Best, Doug"

Also I'm pretty glad Nick jr picked up Peppa pig with her original British accent, can you imagining Peppa pig with a English dub, yep not going to lie but Peppa pig speaking in English is underwhelming and creepy, most of the characters voices are fine but thank God Nick gave Peppa her British accent again, with out it, it wouldn't be as popular or get cancelled early.

In the past year and a half, I have watched a series which most of its episodes have been found except for 13 or 14 of them. The show is titled “The Little Lulu Show”which is a show that aired from 1995-1999. Little Lulu is a comic book character that was popular in the last century, that evolved into films and shows. Though this show was Lulu’s last big appearance, as in the last 20 years she hasn’t had much mention. Looking on the lost media wiki, there isn’t an article about this show, but one about her Japanese one. I would love to eventually see the remaining episodes being found, them being S2 E8, and others from Season 3. The season 3 finale is up on YT, but missing some notable parts, including the ending, which I’m not sure if it’s accurate to how the episode actually ended. The screen cuts out as one of the main characters finishes part of a sentence. The show itself has had a small growth on YT, with most episodes missing being found last year, but as I said a good amount is still lost, and I hope it eventually gets a good audience again.

As a 13 year old that remembers watching Super Why on Sprout, I can confirm that the Super Why pilot was the most surprising piece of lost media. I was also looking on the Lost Media Wiki, and I realized there was a second Super Why pilot that is still lost.

This reminded me of when I used to stay up really late as a kid around the 2010s and during commercial breaks they would play these fairytale retellings with finger puppets. The Rumpelstiltskin retelling I remember the most but I think they also had Rapunzel, The Three Pigs, and maybe Cinderella. I found someone’s upload of the three pigs but that leaves the others I remember so maybe another search can happen for them. I would really like to see the Rumpelstiltskin one again since I remember that one the most.

lol i probably won't be much help for Oswald sadly. I was born later that month than it even aired haha. the Oswalds pre-dates me :') That out of the way, I definitely understand why the video is done the way it is, especially for topics that don't actually have any updates, but the use of old footage is annoying at times, and most so when it interrupts the continuity of the video. The main one being the Dora sections, as both reference the George Lopez clip as the "first topic of the video," when it is neither the first overall or the first Dora topic; and that George Lopez search clip is also outdated for the Oswald Update, claiming the event is still unknown. Obviously these aren't actually huge issues, just my personally pet-peeve/nitpick lol. Saving on recording+editing time and resources is very important, and absolutely supercedes small QOL things Great vid as always!!

I am canadianchildhood on LMW forums. I mistakenly made the claim that MSB didn't air until May 2000 because I looked at two YTV Jr schedule guides (Apr & May 2000, respectively), where the former did not list My Special Book. But it was just a brain fart, since I remembered older schedules and sites that DID have it. It premiered on YTV Jr in late 1998 or early 1999. I was able to pinpoint the YTV Jr recordings I recieved to being from around early 1999, since it was in between Rupert and The Big Comfy Couch. Hope this clears things up.

I just can't get excited for lost media from 2010 or later. The newer, the less interesting it is, & the less interesting the search process will be. The only exception I make is for cancelled video games, lost browser & flash games, & early demos. I rarely get to hear about Found Media discovered on VHS tapes & floppy discs.

I've never watched the entire anime, but heard of it and watched maybe 3 episodes about 10 years ago. It was called Another, and what I remember it could be the one you're talking about. There was some supernatural power in school, k1lling students by ways it seemed accidental. I remember one particular where girl tripped on stairs and landed with her neck on umbrella end. Maybe I could come up with more titles, so let me know if its not this one.
