Oh my gosh. I’m sorry I lost interest when you sell the animals to be slaughtered. I’m just not sure how you can. Love them and call them your babies and then send them to be killed. Good luck though. I think your idea of helping children is wonderful. Have a nice holiday.

I'm sorry you feel that way. Most of the pigs, chickens and cows we raise on our homestead are to eventually be processed. That is why we have them. Our desire is to humanely raise antibiotic & hormone free meat for our family, and now for the general public, so we/they know what is being put into our/their bodies. I had a challenging time with the thought of harvesting them as well (this is Brooke), but I know I give them happy, healthy lives for the time they are with us, and then we are extremely grateful for the nourishment they provide for us. We know many people are wanting health, humanely raised meat, so we felt it was a good thing to provide for those who desire so and at the same time help others.

I appreciate your response. Although I respect you all and I think it’s a wonderful thing that you’re doing, I just don’t believe that I could love an animal, and then have it slaughtered. Five, when I clicked on your channel I thought it was a sanctuary for the animals. I didn’t realize that you have them to raise them as meat. But I do like your mission of helping children. That is lovely. Thanks for letting me voice my opinion and good luck with your endeavors. And I do believe that most people want to ensure that their meat, if they chose to eat meat, is raised humanely and ethically. I just hope the slaughter process is the same. Often, the slaughter houses don’t have the same humane belief systems. 😢
