singertobe True, and the only way to show them how to act in public is to take them places and explain it to them. Same with non disabled people who have that problem, or don't know anything about that. And if they don't behave, then leave the place and explain that they have to go home because they were acting inappropriately; and they'll only stay at a place if the person is behaving well. It doesn't matter how old the person is. It'll work no matter what. The communication may have to be adjusted for each individual, but I'm sure that will still work. That's one of the ways my family members have taught me to behave in public, and I have autism so I can relate. Even though I was mostly a quiet kid growing up, I still had an occasional tantrum; and sometimes I have challenges as an adult, but then so does everyone else, and I have been learning how to deal with them over the years and will continue improving. Also, sometimes leaving the kids with a babysitter is a good option or a caretaker if they're disabled teens or adults; if they're not independent that is. But, it's not always fair to them since everyone likes to go out once in a while; and sometimes the babysitters or caregivers need a break too. Also, I remember that segment on bringing a disabled person to a public place. Some of the people's reactions made me angry, because they reminded me of people who were intolerant and ignorant towards me and my friends. I know that the autistic boy's behavior was unacceptable too, but I sympathized with him at the same time. He was acting, but still... I liked some of the people's positive reactions, though and I would've helped too if I were there.

@DravenGal6 жыл бұрын
So you are saying parents that raise their kids to be noisy spoiled narcissistic brats (watch out if they start developing an orange tinge) with no consideration for others are actually not doing anything wrong? Um, no. They are. You wanna raise brats, fine, do it at home. Then once they are released into society, you can look forward to many visits from the police with your kids in tow. Oh, and won't going to the movies be fun! You can do a survey on which theaters' popcorn ''butter'' is easiest to wash out of your hair! Or funerals! The kids can play the ''Who fits inside the basket with the body'' game. Kids NEVER have the right to be noisy, bothersome, pesky obnoxious brats, especially in public, EVER! If they are, you are parenting WRONG. And do not give me any ''Kids will be kids'' BS. Any child over five is old enough to understand how to have manners and be respectful. Not to mention it can be dangerous. A wild child like that ran into my mother's shoulder while she was enjoying her dinner at a restaurant and TORE HER ROTATOR CUFF so bad that she still has shoulder problems 15 years later! So DO NOT SAY THAT IT IS OKAY! And of course it's dangerous for the kids as well, they could fall, or get something hot spilled on them, etc... Also, those restaurants are fully within their rights to refuse service for a very legitimate reason. You may love hearing your kids run and scream and raise hell, if you do, eat at home. That behavior in ANYONE, especially kids is never okay in public, even at a park (well, maybe to SOME degree at an amusement park, but they still do not have the right to DISTURB others!) Take them to f'in Chuck E. Cheese where they can scream all they want, I'm sure you will find it wonderful to see your kids running around like chickens on speed and yelling like the fans of a losing ball team! And the food poisoning will be worth it, won't it, because your kids got to scream their lungs out! You seem to think it is okay for that kind of behavior so...Why don't I contact the Paul Brothers, and tell them the house next to yours would be a PERFECT place to have a raging party to video all night, music blaring so loud your windows rattle, and hey, make it a nightly thing, and I'll be sure to mention they can swim in your pool and basically do whatever the hell they want. Because THAT is what kids who are constantly reinforced on the idea that kind of behavior those kids were IRL pull the crap the kids in the video were faking is okay---they grow up to be TOTAL Douchebags. WHY doesn't someone come up with a course you have to pass before you can be a parent? It is so needed!

average life yeah but some high end restaurants do have a kids menu. Even my siblings would eat from the regular menus like Mac and cheese with panko crust on top or steak. You just need to crank up those price just a bit for families to be like it’s good but I’m not coming here again. “My kid ate 5 chicken tenders for $25 when we can go to Macdonald’s for cheaper.” I’m exaggerating but do you get my point? Then imagine having more then one kid.

There are some kids who just have extreme problems listening and it’s hard especially for single mothers in public to control or discipline there kid. I know this because my aunt has a 6 year old who is out of control but she loves him and wants to take him places but every time she does he makes a fool of her and it’s especially hard because she has a newborn who she has to focus on as well and can’t leave her alone. She is also a single mom, so whoever made this comment just know that there is a struggle behind it it’s not just that the mom doesn’t care most of the time.

@dominiquer84316 жыл бұрын
B.L. Simpson im a mom, I have. 4 year old. So when I go somewhere to eat am I not a paying customer? It's the parents job to discipline. I would never allow my child to behave like an animal at a public place. There have been times when she acts out and her father or I take her to the car until she quiets down and if she doesn't we take our food to go. I dont think its fair for restaurants to punish everyone that has children.
@Sabs_2226 жыл бұрын

@dominiquer84316 жыл бұрын
Sabbi yeah there are but I shouldn't be limited bc I have a child, that's absurd. If children act out its the parents job to deal with it. If it happens and im at a restaurant that is when we deal with it. I shouldn't have to be punished bc some idiot out there doesnt know how to control their child.

Dominique R I never said people that who bring rude loud kids two restaurants weren't paying customers

Dominique R some restaurants also have rules for the attire that you must wear and not allowing people to smoke inside. So if I want to wear a certain thing or I want to smoke then I don't go to those restaurants. These are their rules and if you want to eat at their establishment then you have to abide by them. They've created their rules to establish a certain atmosphere for their other customers.

@BeanBag3436 жыл бұрын
It's sad that parents can't discipline their kids in public anymore. It's times like this that show the effects that the witch hunt for child abuse has had on our society. I know that child abuse is a real problem, but what's also a real problem is that because we've tried so desperately to prevent it, which is a noble cause, we seem to have forgotten that there is a huge difference between discipline and abuse. I mean, my mom had 5 kids, myself included, and she and my grandmother would never have let us act out like that in public. My mom never hit us, but she knew how to properly warn us both at home and in public, and we all knew that if we acted out, especially in a restaurant, church, park, museum, etc., that we would have no TV, no computer, and no playstation for a week. These days, you can't even say to your kid: "Hey, either you sit down and behave, or we will go straight home and you can eat the leftovers in the fridge" without someone giving you a dirty look. It would be different if you brought out a belt and hit your kid, but nowadays even the simplest methods of discipline are perceived as abuse of some kind. My rule is: unless you see the parents physically strike their kids (and by that i don't mean spank) or scream at the top of their lungs at them, leave them be. I may not agree with their forms of discipline (if there is any at all) but it's really not my place to tell others how to raise their own kids.
