We could argue this all day, OR we could simply put the nice crispy bacon on the warm Krispy Kreme donut. You'll have to do it and tell me how it turns out. You may need to buy lots of bacon and lots of donuts, to ensure the quality of the test.

I've seen food reaction videos of Korean, German, English and Irish kids as well as various US kids from a few regions and they all basically act the same. The younger they are the more they dislike anything unfamiliar. After age 10 they are much more interested in trying new things. Also interviewer style and edit changes everything as well. This interviewer seems to be rewarding outrageous behavior with attention, and I think we are seeing exactly what they chose for us to see. Also I've seen a few older women reaction videos and they act about the same as kids.

As someone who grows with spudnut and loves Pon-De-Ring I'm confused on how appalled they are at the prospect of putting potatoes and rice on the donut I find both softer to chew and actually tasted great I prefer them to regular donuts

As a guess, they were horrified at the concept of it being something different than what they are used to, not by the actual taste. They expected it to be bad, even before being told what it was, and since they gave themselves those expectations then they considered it bad regardless of the taste. Once it was confirmed that it was different than something they consider normal, they doubled down on it being bad in their heads. This all despite the fact that it probably tasted pretty good and would be something they would like if it was given to them at a time when they had different expectations.
