actually both demi and kierra have amazing voices. both have different paths but both are iconic amazing singers. and actually in recent years demi’s range has surpassed Kierra’s since demi’s learned how to mix her range has been insane and her voice has improved tremendously in the past couple of years. if i made this video recently it would showcase demi’s vocal improvement in recent times. you should look it up if you haven’t yet!

​@@ilovemusic_101 I've researched Demi extensively. Don't mistake my disagreement for not knowing her voice. Demi's voice is riddled with even the most basic of tensions. I've not heard her make a singular sound which was properly produced... ever. But that's not the main problem. For as long as she's been singing she has yet to learn how to actually phrase. Even a one sentence phrase is proving troublesome to her due to her poor breathing, poor vowel choices and other just confusing voice qualities. It is simply not a good voice. I am not saying all this to drag her but just being honest. I study the voice, both contemporary and classical (primarily the latter) and unfortunately she fails on every part. Kierra does NOT have the technique either mind you. But what she lacks in technique, she has in phrasing, pure raw singing skill and musicality. I don't know whether the standard of singing has gotten truly so low we will act like Demi's a spectacular singer, or people just cannot hear it.

@@KajiVocals so she’s not a good singer because of her way of phrasing notes? and the way she sings in vowels. i don’t think demi would come as far in her career if she wasn’t a spectacular singer. but go off, on the other hand demi may not have the best vibrato,the best vocal acrobatics,the best runs or do all the extra but demi definitely has improved vocally in recent times when it comes to her range, especially her breath support and her ability to have more power in her upper range. to say she’s not a good singer or hasn’t improved as a vocalist is insane when it’s as clear as day, you don’t have to belittle her as a singer and her vocal ability just because you simply don’t like it. sounds very biased to me.

@@KajiVocals i’m not here to change your opinion i’m just here to give u a different perspective but to say she can’t sing when she’s been doing this since she was a child and has even surpassed kierra when it comes to vocal technique and range it’s crazy. Kierra definitely is a force to be reckon with, she has the power and the beauty in her voice just like her mother and aunts and can do things demi can’t do like the incredible runs she can do, her growls and her squalls and the ability to have that strong of a chest voice and a great falsetto for a singer who doesn’t use it as much, And Demi also has qualities kierra doesn’t as well like the ability to sing without always sounding like she’s pulling, she mastered her ability to mix unlike kierra, and both are actually very great at phrasing vocals as well. i just think it’s a very biased opinion because demi wouldn’t be as mainstream and go as far in her career and be the singer she is now if she couldn’t sing, no standard has gotten low in singing when it comes to demi,she one of the few white women in a younger generation that actually can sing and is actually multi talented. she’s ever surpassed her peers when it comes to her vocal range, at least give her that.
