any tips on preventing the high E string from slipping due to big bends (think...albert king, hendrix). This keeps happening to me and eventually as I keep tuning up, the string snaps. Great video and thank you!

I have a kiesel HH1. I am having problems with the high e tuning. is the phillips head screw to be adjusted? I can't get the string to pitch. I tighten the string as much as it will go and the phillips head screw protrudes out

With wound strings, is there a recommended technique at the ‘head’? How would I know the hex nuts are not just gripping the windings and not the core? I foresee a lot a wasted strings until I get the tightening just right so as to not let the core slip vs stripping the hex nut.

Writing this in hopes for some suggestions, but I got a Zeus recently (yay) and I'm changing my strings for the first time today (10 to 52). All other strings are good with the exception of the high e, no matter what it will not stay in tune. I'm tuning it to the point where the screw is actually coming out past the tuning peg (pretty sure this isn't supposed to be the case, and I am leaving 0 slack at the nut) and it still won't stay in tune. The string is sitting in the nut properly and I have the screw as tight as possible on the locking but without me actually risking breaking it.

I've accidentally cut several .010's by overtightening. Best I could do is bend the string forward before fully tightening and cutting. The angle seems to help.

Man, I have a Z7X and this thing almost always refuses to hold a .10. I've gone through so many strings trying to find the balance between not having the screw protrude and not slipping out of the nut. It's immensely frustrating.

that's so interesting that the keys you sent me with guitar dose't fit in the locking head, and I unfortunately already loosen one string and I can't change it or put it back again, should wait until I buy a set ao keys, please make sure you put correct ones for future products

Double ball end strings are not compatible with our headless guitars. You can use any normal strings though!

Man i would be so concerned to have the fine tuner in all the way and having to change the string again, similar to the fine tuner on a floyd and then having to unlock the head to retune.

Not bad. I would skip the wire cutter and just bend the excess string back and forth until it breaks. Since the screw is putting tension on the string it will always break at the end of the screw and then you don’t have to worry about excess string sticking out

Lmao..... no fucking shit........I got the answer I was looking for cus I had the screw sticking out on my high E.... but also always wondered "how the fuck do they have the strings cut flush with the locking nut". Own 2 headless kiesel's. Waiting on a 3rd. Owned my first for like 3 years and I'm barely looking up this video. To be fair the screw thing didn't happen till like a month ago or 2 ago.
