It’s actually scary how much i love and listen to miyashita yuu. He’s literally my religion i fucking love his voice and every single fucking song he sings is just incredible i????????????? my theory on what this song is about is its about someone who hides his real identity because hes insecure, and he knows that people will make fun of him if he is himself so he constantly puts on different identities ("with which masks shall we deceive today's guests?") and if people don't like how he acts he can just change himself to be better ("if something is not pleasing to the eye, there is nowhere it can ever belong") but hes gone so far down this hole that he just becomes someone who constantly morphs their personality and there's no going back to his original self ("for once dawn breaks on this enchanting night, i'll never see you again") the whole performer speak could be because there used to be lots of masks in theatre (like the iconic happy mask/sad mask thing that was used by ancient greeks) and also people tend to be completely different people on stage
