I feel like not many people mentioned this, the "amogus" looking creature (probably) represents a barong. In Balinese mythology, barong is the king of the spirits, leader of the hosts of good, and enemy of Rangda, the demon queen and mother of all spirit guarders in the mythological traditions of Bali. While the song talks about demons and spirits, i feel like it's telling the story of Rangda. source: wikipedia edit: no need to say "woowww thx for explaining our culture" i'm literally Indonesian

tbh i dont feel creep out by this song, it really does feel like you're on a festival, and what better way to appreciate and acknowledge the darkness? create some contrast (there cant be dark without some light, you know) in a song you cant use light, so i think kikuo used this concept but with silence, hence why the sounds move around you. If i close my eyes i can see myself in the middle of a carnival, with lots of colorful lights that make me realise how vast and full of posibility the darkness around me is. Totally loved this song, might be my favorite in this album!!!! As always kikuo does not dissapoint

Many argue that this song has Gamelan elements from Indonesia ... And finally there were also lovers of Kikuo songs from Indonesia that appeared ... INCLUDING ME...!!! Banyak yang berpendapat bahwa lagu ini mempunyai unsur Gamelan dari Indonesia... Dan akhirnya keluar juga penikmat lagu Kikuo dari Indonesia yang muncul... TERMASUK SAYA...!!!

I'm half indo and I frequently visit my family there, they live in a pretty rural place. There are always festivals there, and I always hear the gamelan. So this song is actually pretty comforting but it's prob bc of the memories there, the actual meaning of the song is dark like any other kikuo song
*see notification* *Kikuo's name on it* *INSTANT CLICK* is this using gamelan balinese style?? it sounds AMAZING!! thank you Kikuo, greetings from Indonesian person here

I love how you add gamelan. As an Indonesian, more spesifically a Sundanese-Javanese mix, i felt happy my culture is featured in an amazing, mysterious, lovely and mesmerizing masterpiece.

I thought it looks like "Leak" or "Leyak", mythological figure from Bali. Considering Kikuo using Indonesian gamelan instrumen (Balinese style) in this song...
@CemaniRooster5 жыл бұрын
dyan antika oni means demon in Japanese, so i think leak can be classified as demon/ghost, for Rangda she is the ultimate embodiment evil lmao 😛 (Indonesian here too)

Irene M. Liu [shinymoo15] ah yes that's true I agree with you! 👍 I love how Kikuo included leak image to this song and the gamelan instrument in here is so beautiful I love it, made me almost forgot this is actually a Vocaloid song 😆
