Before you go and worry about Kikuo not uploading any music, please remember that music takes time. Kikuo is an independent artist that isn't necessarily supported by big time record labels or some big wigs in the music industry. In his most recent Livestream on his YT channel he states how one of his songs took him a whole year to make because of scrapped and rejected ideas. The creative process is different for everyone, but it can be finicky and is unpredictable, you never know if you're gonna have one idea.. run with it for awhile, then realize that.. "Wait no, this doesn't seem right." and have to start back at square one.

If this is Kikuo's real childhood, I want to say I'm experiencing the same thing. Violent parents, physical and mental abuse, I want to cut off those times from my memories. I started to make arts and go to art school because I couldn't hold that dark emotional energy by myself and it exploded into the form of art. I'm now in a graduate year in my course and I feel like it's pointless to stay in those negative memories and feeling even if it's useful to generate arts. What I truly want is getting out of the repeating feeling and live a new life in new mind. It's hard and I'm not successfully doing it either but... Hope you someday leave those childhood.. and me too. And you're saying you want love from many of your songs, it sounds like you know your ego's deepest desire. My reaction was the opposite : fck those love i don't need anyone, and became very cold person especially to parents.

I've felt something very similar before.... I cut myself off from all my emotions and just went with my survival instincts, but then life didn't have much meaning anymore.... I always said I didn't need love, but ended up feeling empty all the same, and blaming myself for it, since whenever I told others, they said it was stupid of me to think like that. I hope you can separate yourself from the creators of those negative energies in your head enough now, and become anew. I'm happy for the first time ever in my life, and now I know that it all changes and gets better someday.

hey, i've been through that too. i discovered Kikuo bc of "Gomenne Gomenne", which i wld listen to a lot bc i was exploited for CP (not by parents though, although my home life hasn't been great lol). i've been in a much better state of mind recently but i still make art/music to deal w/ the worst lingering feelings - it's useful to use it to exorcise them haha. i can empathise w/ becoming cold and trying to refuse love. but trust me, you're right that it's rly hard, but you'll be able to break out of those patterns. one of my friends talks a lot abt treating your wounded inner child as you would your own child: nurture them, help them grow, and you'll grow too. i hope you find what you're looking for

Just some commentary: A lot of the Japanese comments are suggesting this is a sequel of sorts to "Don't Look at Me Like That," which I think has merit as an interpretation. Last night I had this dream where a tornado struck Japan and thousands of people were affected, so Kikuo and si_ku did a huge collab to pay respects. It was an animated musical that was an hour and 21 minutes long, and it was about a girl who was swept up into a tornado and died, and then was reassembled into a literal cotton candy girl in the afterlife. Also, she could still come and observe the Earth, and there were also more cotton candy people, one of which was a blue cotton candy boy she made friends with. The song where the girl died was lyrically similar to a lot of Kikuo's older songs, where she sang about the feeling of her body being torn apart bit by bit and then put back together in a happy tone, sort of like And Then You Became The Moon or Let's Go to Heaven... I woke up wanting a song like that!

This song is one of my favorite Kikuo songs, so I'll give my theory on the song and the music video as well. If you look at the music video, there's something/someone (let's say Miku) in a white, small area surrounded by darkness. The lyrics then talk about how Miku's life as a child was horrible ["those empty-spiraling times when I was small"], so she shuts herself in her own world, her dream. However, being in there makes Miku start to question stuff, like how long she's been there, as she starts losing her sanity, staying as a young kid (mentally). Notice how at the second beat drop, the colors switch in the music video. Miku's dream is now the darkness. This means she's tired of being stuck in her own world and how she wants someone to help her ["save me, please save me"] to get out of her world. Miku starts searching for that person that truly loves her ["searching for your love" being repeated]. At the end, the colors change again. Miku still sees herself as a little girl locking herself from reality. But, as the title says, she'll search for someone's love forever. Apologies if the theory makes zero sense, I'm not great at coming up with theories.

これは 【僕をそんな目で見ないで】 と関連性があるのかな？ 1:50の頭が壊れたきみのことって言うのは、【僕をそんな目で見ないで】で言うと、気持ちよさに負けて捨てちゃった僕をのところで私はここでしょうくん(サムネにいる男の子に私が勝手につけた名前)のお母さんが何が薬物をしていたと考えます。なので、もしかしたら 頭が壊れた➜薬物を使っている最中 きみ➜お母さん(それかお父さん、または両親どちらも←きみだから違うかな？) ということになると思います。 あと、1:56の「夢の中でずっと待ってるから｣の所は｢また夢の中で会うまでさよなら｣という僕をそんな目で見ないでの歌詞と似てる気がする。そして、一旦このコメントをし終わって、この曲をまた聞いて、その後僕をそんな目で見ないでを聞いたんですか、4:14の 「子どもの姿のままで 小さい頃のままで 抱きしめて欲しくて｣というは、僕をそんな目で見ないででは、流産で亡くなった説を考えているのですが、 「亡くなった、生きることが出来なかった、ママに会えなかった、パパに会えなかった、悔しい、抱きしめて欲しかった」ということだと思います。(あ、抱きしめてよ 抱きしめてよの所もでしたね)クソ考察すみませんあと、何故かいつもこの曲を聴いたら《僕をそんな目で見ないで》の動画が次に出てくるんですが、これはkikuoさんが仕組んだ(？)、またKZbin運営に頼んだりしたら、このふたつの曲はやはり何かしらの関連性が… 追伸 グッド👍を押してくれた皆様、ありがとうございます！100グッド着くとは思ってもいませんでした。皆様ありがとうございます(泣) 追伸2 ついにグッド👍が200まで行きました。ありがとうございます！恐らく、私がコメントしたなかで1番グットが付きました！！！ありがとうございますﾍﾟｺﾘ 追伸3 …え？300？嘘でしょ？？と、とりあえず皆様、こんな考察に三百以上のグッドをしてくれてありがとうございます！

Kikuo's songs sound really happy, energic and cheerful most of the time. But they also sound so sad at the same time. It might be because of the melancholy in the rythm, or just knowing the lyrics might make me feel that way. But it reminds me of a very happy-looking person who is actually really depressed inside.

僕をそんな目で見ないで、と愛して愛して愛して、が混ざったような世界観を感じました。 子供から親への切ない訴え（両方ともイラストや歌詞でパパ・ママが出てくる）が共通点でしょうか… ただ、子供の頃の姿のままで、と最後にあるので、この歌詞だともう大人になった人…の可能性もあるのかも知れませんね。 意外と、子供側が残されて、親のほうが空の上にいるのやも。 個人的な推察でスミマセン。 あと、真ん中にいるキャラクター、わたあめのときのニコニコ顔と同じ可愛さがあります…！
