One of my favorites hikes in the Park. It's different every time. Well done!

it is incredible how the vegetation grows in such a dry lava landscape. Beautiful!

Yes, it is such a different but beautiful landscape!

I did it very surprisingly, with my back pain and old age. The awe was mine and the nature gave me the awesome experience

Do we need a tour guide or we can do by our own ? Can I do it with kids ? 5 years and 10 years
@HungaroExplorer3 жыл бұрын
You don’t need a guide. It is one if the easier trails, but with a 5 years old might be a little long. You can always start and then turn back if the kids don’t want to go further :)

I lived in Honolulu as a kid and my school flew the fourth graders to the Big Island every year to hike this trail. Wasn't our only trip destination (it was a 4-day, 3-night trip), but it was part of the itinerary. If they could do it with a huge crowd of 10-year-olds every year, I'm sure your kids will be fine.

Fantastic job! Your cinematography was fantastic. 👍😀🔥 I haven't seen your videos in so many months. Do you think there are enough hikes in this park to spend three weeks here?
@HungaroExplorer3 жыл бұрын
Thank You! This is such a beautiful hike, and there is more for sure, but not enough for 3 weeks. If you want to backpack Mauna Loa plus some of the other hikes in the park, one week is more than enough in my opinion.

Ma'am, what is the name of your tennis or hiking shoes? I want to purchase before doing the same hike

My wife was wearing the Saucony Perigrines. I hope that helps!

What is your favorite trail in Hawaii volcanoes national Park?
@andrewduncan764312 күн бұрын
Mauna Loa was about to be my favorite hike to the Red Cabin, Summit Cabin and to the peak itself but apparently the that trail is closed after Red Hill hut so looks like Ainapo Trail is the only current option for February 1st week ):
@HungaroExplorer11 күн бұрын
Oh yeah, that one is a good one! Yes, at the moment the route from Red Hill is still close so your only option is Ainapo. That one is on my list but I am doing it sometimes in the beginning of next year. Have fun if you go🤙🏻
@andrewduncan764311 күн бұрын
@@HungaroExplorer If you go first week of February I'll keep my eye's open for yeah. Your Moana Loa and Mauna Kea plus Haleakala videos sold me on all of those. Spent 2 nights in the cabins there and hiked out the 3rd day. Had perfect weather that week too. Was awesome. 🤙

@ I am so happy those videos inspired you to get out! Probably more like April for Ainapo, but not sure yet
