Fun thing to note: Beatrix Kiddo plucked out Elle's eye with her right hand - and her right arm belonged to Pai Mei, ever since she tried to hit him with a rock and he took the rock away and threatened to break it. He claimed her arm...and so he got his revenge on Elle from beyond the grave... Bill did think it was the other guy's baby - he said "that man of yours works pretty fast," meaning he thought she'd gotten pregnant almost as soon as she met him. I think that when she said "it's your ba-" as he shot her, he was surprised and it threw his aim off. Then he arranged for her to be cared for and for their baby to be delivered, and took custody. He also called off Elle's attempt to kill her in her sleep. In his warped way, he still cared for her. Toxic af, but then all of them were assassins, none of them good people.

Elle hated Kiddo because Kiddo dated Bill first and Bill dated Elle after Kiddo. Elle also was trained by Pai Mei after Kiddo…so Elle was jealous of Kiddo for two reasons. Budd was Bill’s brother. He warned Bill not to have deep feelings for Kiddo but Bill didn’t listen to him. Budd was mad at Bill and didn’t speak to him for a while. Budd felt remorse over his assassin life and felt that he deserves the shitty life he lives. O-Ren and Vernita Green were soldiers following Bill’s orders. Bill was raised by a Pimp (Esteban) so Bill’s ego was not going to let his woman leave him for another man. In addition…His heart and feelings got involved. Hope this fills in the movie gaps.

Pai Mei is played by Martial Arts Legend Gordon Liu. He also played the leader of the Crazy 88's, Johnny Mo (Bald Head and Kato Mask) in Part 1. Another Actor who played 2 roles was Michael Parks who played the Texas Ranger with all the sunglasses in his Patrol Car in Part 1 and the Pimp Estaban in Part 2.

There was a gameshow in 1960's called, "The $64,000 Question". The correct answer to the first question was worth $1000, the second $2000, third $4000, then $8000, doubling till $64,000, with each question becoming progressively more difficult.

I had a lot of sympathy for Bill... He loves this woman with all of his heart, they create a child together and then she pretty much fakes her death, steals his daughter away from him without saying a word and after he spends months mourning for her he starts searching for the people that he thought killed the love of his life, he finds her married to some rando passing his unborn baby off as this random dude's child. I would feel so betrayed and so hurt if that happened to me. I mean I wouldn't take it THAT FAR and massacre a whole church, but still... I get where the guy's pain and anger is coming from...

A third Kill Bill movie was planned. The rumors are that it occurs 20 years later when BB is fully grown. Nikki (Vernita Green's daughter from Part 1) is fully grown and is seeking vengence for her Mother against Beatrix and BB. She trains under Elle (who survived the Camper (and Black Mamba) and now has a Bionic eye and Sofie Fatale, now with artificial limbs. Too bad it will never be made!

YMMV but, after watching the movie a couple times, it occurred to me that Bill kind of threw that fight at the end. You notice that he started drinking while they were having their last talk, and kept drinking the whole time. By the end, he was visibly, audibly drunk. Which is when he attacked. I think he went into the fight planning to die. He just wanted to clear the air first.

The way I heard it Quentin wanted it to be a single film, but the theaters didn't want to show a movie that long. I guess because the tickets were the same price as a normal movie, but the theater would be tied up for 2x as long.

9:59 "She keeps getting her ass kicked" That is the reason why the character of the Bride (Beatrix Kiddo) will always be remembered as one of the kickass female protagonists in the history of cinema: a woman who has to overcome all kinds of problems to achieve her goal, learning from her mistakes and growing as a character. And it's the same reason why empowered Girl bosses don't work in today's films (like Rey, Captain Marvel, and so on).

thirty 41 timestamp. The 64,000 Question was a TV game show. I am not sure, but it may have been based on doubling money, since 64 is a power of 2. Perhaps a contestant would go from 1000, to 2000, to 4000, to 8000, to 16000, to 32000, and finally to 64000

Apparently Beatrix killed 44 of the Crazy “88” I looked and looked and can’t find a confirmed answer for why Beatrix is bleeped. Just speculations. Give her an air of mystery, symbolize that her original identity is dead and we hear it after she comes back to lie (comes out of the grave), or it’s just a quirky choice. What of Superman have you watched or read? I’m curious. Admittedly I haven’t read much, but I have watched quite a bit and I’ve rarely if ever been bored. I’ve come to have a lot more sympathy for Bill over the years. Originally I had none at all. He’s right, what Beatrix did is very cruel, and finding her in that new life was like salt in the wound. That’s not to say I don’t think he deserved to die, no he very much does. His actions in response were worse.

Hi Sophie, if you want to watch a movie that is emotionally draining like "The Green Mile" or "The Shawshenk Redemption" take a look at "FURY" staring Brad Pitt. It is a war movie and has very graphic killing scenes, but it is also a very intense story of human emotions during a war. You will see Brad Pitt differently after this movie.

It is absolutely always interesting to hear which volume people prefer. It should be some sort of litmus test. But I don't know what kind of dichotomy it would draw. I love them both. And if I'm true to my heart, I think volume two is the better movie. Esteban is my favorite character of both movies. I love Elle's little speech to Bud while he's dying. Their fight in the trailer is some top notch choreographed cinematography. Pai Me is a star. But they are one. So pick me up not necessary. I've rarely seen anyone abstain from picking though...🤔

"The first movie was more creative with music choices" you say. You're either forgetting or haven't been told... this is ONE movie cut into two volumes due to running length. The movie was to long for cinemas and Tarantino refused to shorten it so he split it into two Volumes, they were filmed at the same time so I dont think Tarantino would have spent a huge amount on redoing the second volume with different music choices or whatever and I dont think he cared about the people who watched them and compared them against each other like a movie chain where the timeline jumps ahead by years in parts 1 & 2 (Godfather, Die Hard, Rocky, etc). I sure Tarantino would want everyone to watch Volumes 1&2 back to back as One film since in his head they are.

❤‍🔥Tarantino's movie is an exuberant celebration of moviemaking coasting with heedless joy from one audacious chapter to another, working as irony, working as satire, working as drama, working as pure action. I liked it even more than "Kill Bill 1." It's not a sequel but a continuation and completion filmed at the same time. Now that we know the whole story, the first part takes on another dimension. Vol 2 stands on its own, although it has deeper resonance if you've seen Vol 1. The movie is a distillation of countless Grind House Kung-Fu movies Tarantino has absorbed, and which he loves beyond all reason. He isn't copying but transcending, there's a kind of urgency in the film, as if he's turning up the heat under his memories.🔥 Put the two parts together and Tarantino has made a masterful saga. That celebrates the martial arts genre while kidding it, loving it, and transcending it. But this is all one film, and now that we see it whole, it's greater than it's two parts. Tarantino is the most brilliantly oddball filmmaker of his generation. 😜🤪🪛⚾💥🩸🩸
