KILL TEAM (2024) - The Grand Narrative Kessandras System: Mission 3

The Grand Narrative for Warhammer 40,000 was a seven game LARP using the results of games of 40k an Kill Team to tell a larger story amongst three major facts! The Imperials, Orks and Chaos all vied for a series of ancient relics. In this first Mission, teams are sent as pathfinders to guide in the mass assault of troops in Pathfinders!
Jay and I are both using custom forces as a fun excuse to build an emerging narrative, with the Legionairres of the Dark Angels taking on my Angels of Death!

I totally hear what Jay said about accidentally painting an army a bit at a time for kill team. This Saturday I will be playing guard for the first time in a boarding action game.

I'll miss the big stadium sound when Ash fixes the AUDIO Audio audio. It is nice seeing the table all gussied up with bits and bobs of scatter terrain, and the minis being converted or resurrected from the Citadel Back Catalogue. It makes Kill Team seem more like a wargame than a board game.

I wish you would do the old way of recording the videos. Ive adpated it to my D&D miniature battles games, and people like it.

I notice some complain about rules mistakes, but, I find the mistakes endearing because that is exactly what happens with me and friends - more relatable. I do appreciate the need for standards though…

They are not Rules; they are more like guidelines. 😄 I like battle reports when the players are having fun with their games 👍 I feel that Ash and Jay are great company, and I'm willing to going along with it. There's another channel that I really enjoy, run by a bloke how likes to create narrative in every game.

Kill Team being such a simple game does make the mistakes stand out a bit more than they would otherwise, but I do just like listening to you and Jay throw dice. Messing about and converting up fun little teams that you then take on wacky door kicking adventures is really what I like about the KT experience. Or doing something more grim like 3 Terminators vs a buddy's hulk of Tyranids. This can't quite get you all the way there yet for the second but it's pretty damn close. It's also a lot more rules light than Necromunda, and eats less table space. All in all just a good refresh to me, and I wasn't as big a fan of the last version.

Yo Ash, love your content, but your cheating is on full display today :P In an Angels of Death team you cannot have both an Eliminator and a Heavy Intercessor Gunner. In their rules, they both have a little asterisk in their Operative Selection List, which means, quote: "* You cannot select more than one of these operatives combined."
