BWCA stands for Boundary Waters Canoe Area. It's in North East Minnesota. No motors allowed, permit required, and camping at designated sites. Maybe Google it. Thanks again !

Oh wow! Windy morning. Ok I think I found the right Killarney videos. Lol I like how you share when you get tired. Most people don’t share that but I know my arms are screaming by the end of the day. Also I get sad when I see something beautiful like that moon and don’t have someone to share it with. I’ve learned most things in life are better shared. For sure! ☺️ oh well...the down side of solo trips I guess. What are you using to film the trip?
@CamperChristina7 жыл бұрын
Inocente Gutierrez yes yes you did ! Lol. I use an iPhone 7. Lol.

This is very cool. I love your video and your canoe. I haven't made any videos.....yet maybe one of these days. I love watching other peoples but I think mine would be boring. I do make my own canoes though and love doing what your doing.

looks like a great time! Did you do any flyfishing on the trip?
@CamperChristina6 жыл бұрын
unbdld42 no I did not. Killarney waters are not the best for fishing. Many of the lakes are dead and it wasn’t worth it for me to lug the extra gear around for nothing. Thanks for taking the time to check out my video and for commenting.

Nice. Thanks for wearing a PFD...I see so many people paddling across open water without one. Folding canoe? Canvas?
@CamperChristina7 жыл бұрын
Patrick Caple ALWAYS wear a pfd. Dumb not to. This canoe is skin on frame, made by www.backcountrycustomcanoes.ca. It's 27 lbs and very strong. Thanks for watching. Hope you like the rest of the series.

Ballistic nylon....still looks fragile but yer doin whitewater...looks light...surely not as light as kevlar
@CamperChristina7 жыл бұрын
No whitewater, lots of beaver dams though. It is 27lbs, not sure how light kevlar is? I don't have a kevlar canoe. LOL
@NoTrail7 жыл бұрын
Lighter than one of my whitewater kayaks. I remember when canoes were actually covered with canvas over a wood frame. See many loons?

You are welcome. I still feel extremely nervous going by myself. Gone once but I really do need a solo canoe. The tandem canoe at 16 feet can be cumbersome at times :).
@cherylotinyhousecellist6 жыл бұрын
I’ve been windbound in Killarney many times.... but the last time 2 years back with my daughter we had serious hail! Almost put holes in the tent they came down so hard, they hurt like hell when I went out to adjust the lines. Killarney can be so temperamental! I think twice when going solo.
