EVERY jiu jitsu (the gentle way) technique vídeo should show a smaller person performing the moves on a bigger and stronger person (unless the move is specifically designed for big people to use on small people (that's practically ANY move, lol)). You guys are awesome! The mistakes when filming are excellent because people will make these mistakes and this is an ounce of prevention versus the pound of cure.

You're a really good coach. Hopefully I can make it there one day. Do you only do nogi? That's my preference btw.
@TeachMeGrappling6 жыл бұрын
Yes I only do Nogi nowadays. I touch the gi a couple days a week for my kids class.

I think you briefly mentioned this arm drag in the gi before but can you confirm this grip break (at 1:15) is what you'd use in the gi too? Is it good for breaking a grip they may have on a lapel or belt as well?

ronggo bawono First time I saw this 2on 1 grip was Marcelo Garcia using it instead of cross-grip. I never understood that this is stronger and more versatile. In one of Coach Brian’s videos he actually shows how similar it is to a Russian 2 on 1. I used to think that was a useless grip too, not anymore. This grip is worth adding to your arsenal.
