I think the most horrifying part of this case to me is that I mistook it for another family massacre Santa case. In Covina California in 2008, a recently divorced man arrived at his ex-wife's family's house, shot his niece in the head, and then started attacking the rest of the family with a homemade flame thrower he was concealing in a large bag made to look like it was full of toys. The niece and her mother both lived in that case. I just can't imagine the horror that poor little girl faced. You open the door because you think Santa's there, and he pulls a gun on you and massacres your family... I'm trying to think of something worse, and I'm coming up short. I hope she's doing alright these days.

My dad was a first responder and was on call a lot of holidays throughout my childhood. It definitely was hard sometimes but my mom made sure to let my sister and I know that he was helping other people who are having a lot worse Christmas than we were. It really put it in perspective and made me even more proud that my dad chose to help people in tough situations even if it meant being taken away from family events and celebrations.

This is obviously a man with a lot of pride who cares about his reputation. I think that is why he tried to frame the other guy. Even in death he didn’t want people to believe he could do that and it is so messed up to blame someone else over your own reputation and anger. I think he just wanted to be remembered as a victim and family man and that’s why he cleaned the gun and put it in someone else’s hands. Maybe he thought the gun left in his hands would look like he tried to fight back too? This whole situation is so twisted

32:30 I hesitate to believe that someone with a seemingly huge ego and narcissistic personality would suddenly switch after murdering them all, and decide to kill himself out of grief. I think that it's likely that he wanted to look like the hero, and be remembered as a hero, because he felt so emasculated and useless. He wanted to humiliate his brother-in-law, and family, while looking like the good guy. It's possible that he tried to make it look like his Brother-in-law murdered them, and that he was there as santa trying to defend them, but they all died in this gun-fight. He'd look awesome in death, and they'd look like lunatics. Or even, that he showed up in a Santa costume and the family was so mean to him that they pulled a gun and he defended himself. Idk, but I doubt he wouldn't want to look like the victim.

It was all over the news in TX for weeks. Such a sad story. My heart still goes out to their remaining family and their friends. Okay this is the kind of thing that pisses me off. I have a feeling that this was planned- even the suicide. He was probably in a depressive episode after his wife left and took the kids, and I don't think he was planning on killing himself at first, but when he realized nothing was working he decided to end his life. But when he heard about the party his family was having without him, he was angry and decided he might as well kill them too. I don't know if my theory makes sense but my point is IF YOU'RE GOING TO TAKE YOUR OWN LIFE DON'T TAKE OTHER PEOPLE WITH YOU. If everyone in your life is leaving you, you're the only repeating variable, YOU'RE THE PROBLEM. I'm sorry it's just that stuff like this is so heartbreaking and makes me so mad. We'll never know the full story because he is a coward. Ugh I'll stop ranting. As a USA resident who has both received wellness checks and has called them it, the cops show up but if you don't open the door, they can't breech the premises without reasonable suspicion of a crime occuring. Typically you can avoid a wellness check by just ignoring the door, so I'm curious as to what the cops saw that promoted them to kick down the door. Maybe they felt the odd 911 warranted the entry.

A personal story of mine My stepdad lost his job during Covid as a restaurant manager, and he dropped out of college 20 years before meeting my mom. He decided to get his degree so he could get a higher paying job but it really took a toll on his self esteem. Being a stay at home dad sucks. He felt emasculated, like he wasn’t helping the family, and he felt like a bum. But he did everything he could to provide for us and help around. He helped me and my brother with online schooling, cleaned the house and made food for us everyday. He never gave up and ended up getting his degree and a job that paid twice as much as his old job. Because he loved his family so much, he ended up succeeding and staying in a happy marriage. Aziz could’ve had that, but he let his depression take over, and in the end he lost everything.

I live really close to grapevine. There was a case a couple of days ago in white settlement in Texas at an academy and this young girl went to the restroom while her mom was waiting for her. She decided to check on her and she was found strangled and the guy ran out! I would be so grateful if you could find out anymore information about this case as it’s close to home and I love the way you present your cases.

I live in Hurst Texas close to Fort Worth which is near Grapevine and don't remember this case. I'm sure I heard about when it happened, but don't remember much about it other than how shocking and sad it was. Glad you made a video about this tragic case, it needs more light shined on it.

I think what happened was, he went to their house intentionally to kill his family and himself. I think they didn't argue or fight or anything. I believe he just pulled up the gun and shot them all and then staged it had been his brother-in-law so that he wouldn't "look bad" in the eyes of society. His family was all he kind of had, then why would he want to kill them all and keep living? He was already a loser in the eyes of everyone he knew, he wouldnt like to be a murderer as well.
