Luis Noronha with distortion it’s actually harder to make it clean. Right hand muting must be very very good. And goodness are you doubting Rick Graham’s technique that he hides behind high gain distortion? If gain is too high it gets over saturated it makes fast lines blurred. In the video you can hear how well defined the notes are when he shreds it. I can’t believe I’m defending Rick Graham here. Usually the mighty KZbin commenter would say ‘fast & technical but no soul or taste or whatever’.

From my 6 years of playing guitar. For me, out of all the countless hours on KZbin and hundreds of players I’ve discovered over the years. Rick is top for me. In terms of technique. Original phrasing. Slick legato. Out of everyone, for me, Rick is as close to perfection as I’ve seen anyone play. As you progress as a musician your ear develops and you can pick up people’s imperfections so much more. This though is just flawless. He’s at a level that I aspire to but know I’ll never reach. Unreal player. I know that sounds totally up his arse but I’ve came back and watched this video so many times and each time I’m in disbelief that someone can be that good. I respect the dedication to the craft.

For the people crying about "feeling" and "soul"... you ARE aware you clicked a video called "Killer Shred Technique" not "Soulful Blues" right?

but can he play seven nation army?
@ElBlancoPapi8 жыл бұрын
He can play United Nations Army or NATO Army if he wants..... Simple stuff like that still Rules too, it's the right combo of doing both in a compelling way that matters!! Everybody worries when they can't shred but when they can they tend to do it too much and Only shred..... Need Balance!!! That is what makes the Greats actually Great!!!
