HOW TO: Reset Service Indicator Mercedes CLS, E-Class & CLK - W219, W211 & W209

I have a 2005 CLK 240 and I need to reset the service indicator as ji has been serviced but the indicator was not reset. I followed your (very good) video and get to the point where the battery health indicator is displayed. I can scroll up and down and see the VIN and other items but can not arrive at the service menu and the mileage panel at the bottom does not show the symbols. Has something been blocked and can I overcome the problem. Thanks for your help.

Thank you for this video! I have been driving my S211 280e fo almost a year now and have driven 14K km. So I was curious to know about when I'm up for service. After having reset the service indicator as mentioned, the indicator shows that I am up for a 'C Service' in 15K km. Which strikes me a very long to go, having driven 14K without any service... Earlier I went into the Service screen (via pushing the same small button three times) and it showed that I am up for QMD1 (??) in appx 8K km or '+422 days remaining'. Do you know what is correct?

Just go on what your Sevice Book tells you/however log its been since your last service.

For my particular model even though it’s a 211 the ignition has to be turned on and the reset button held for 5 seconds not 3 .

Many thanks. My CLS says C219 on the Owners manual, yet people call it W219. Why is that please?

C generall refers to Coupe models, W219 is normally the standard saloons. - Both are acceptable. Check my video which lists all model codes

Hi I have a cls w219 model can you tell me how to show the old mileage on my replacement speedometer as my old one have problem so I changed a second 2009 cls speedometer. Thanks

Instead of the mph display do the 3x presses on the temperature display instead :)
