Question: I have Scottish heritage that according to reliable-enough family stories is attributed to an illegitimate child. There's no information about who the father was, and I am curious if there is a good tartan for bastards? Is a particular clan well-known for fathering bastards or should I just pick a tartan that I like?

Best I could tell you is black watch, that's made for dudes who joined a clan but didn't join the clans family, most people won't care about what tartan you have, rather that your rocking a badass kilt, not a big thing to stress about 👍

It can look a little Ren-Faire-ish depending upon the cut of the cloak. But if you want to lean into that look, how about a Great Kilt?
