I'm not sure why these C4's are so under appreciated. They are my favorite generation of Corvettes. From the early L98's to the legendary King of the Hill to the base LT1's and the rare 96 GS. All badass.

LOL so the 911 turbo (and lotus) were allowed but not he zr1 :) I remember when they made the escort series for the vettes because they were destroying everything.

This was so cool! Love watching the C4's battle it out. Felt bad for Newman (RIP) crashing out like that. I had two C4's, and 87 and an 89. I miss those cars so very much. I've had a mustang and a fusion, both fun cars, but nothing like a Corvette. My 89 Z51 was something special, and its heartwarming to see on full display during the height of SCCA.

@@paulmoss7940 I spent 5 years on and off tracking my old LT4. A few suggestions: Synthetic American Power steering fluid (Yellow Prestone bottles, worked fine, synthetic is higher temp). Hawk HP+ brake pads. Better hot performance, still good on the street, last longer than EBC yellowstuff pads. Generic Centric blank brake rotors. Save the shiny drilled stuff unless you like cracks after 3 sessions. Motul RBF600 brake fluid for brakes as well as clutch. Stainless steel brake lines might not be NE essary but I did them anyway, stiffened up the pedal a few percent. Heel toe gas pedal, useful on the Rev downshift. I'm currently going through this on my C5, would liek to change the drivers seat as well

Man I miss those days, I bought a 1990 ZR-1 In May 2019 had some work to do, but got her on the road in June 2020 and have driven 3500 miles. C4s ROCK. Thanks for posting this. 👍👍🏁🏁

I don't know what the score is, but, C4 Corvettes probably have dominated more races than any other Corvette generation.

With all due respect to Mr. Baker, he has won but a single National Championship, while Mr. Newman has (4) National Championships to his credit! I've seen a famous racer start dead last in a field of 32, and he still won the race. He likely didn't know more about the track, but he was clearly the best and fastest driver that day. That's why I said no correlation between the two. I should have asked you if you know what the word correlation means. LOL
