Kim Blaeser, Anishinaabe, is poet, critic, essayist, and fiction writer who teaches at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She was raised on the White Earth Reservation in Minnesota by parents of Anishinaabe and German descent. She is the poet laureate of Wisconsin. This is a talk given at the conference, Sustainable Wisdom: Integrating Indigenous Knowhow for Global Flourishing, which took place at the University of Notre Dame in 2016.
