I left him so he abandoned us completely, condemning us to twenty years of poverty. I raised them entirely alone, with no family or financial support. They are beautiful young people, both now about to graduate from university. They make me so proud and they are my world. He died 2 years ago, having never seen them again. So much damage is wreaked in this world by irresponsible men. I'm sorry for what your family suffered.🙏

Wow! So moving to see the sisters still hurting so badly. My great-grandfather also left except he took his children and then kept traveling from old continent to the new world.... As much as the intrusiveness of todays technology can be annoying? Kim Cattrall's grandfather would never be able to do the horribly selfish things he did, in todays world. At least, it would be much more difficult. Having a good life or a hard life of struggle can depend on the selfish actions of one or two individuals or a better life because of the kindness & truthfulness of one or two individuals.

Men leave women all the time in todays society, and they certainly get away with it, I was left with four children, my best friend was left by her husband leaving two. Obviously the bigamist bit is pretty difficult to do but not impossible.

Wow. Interesting to see someone in a similar situation to my husband. His mom was a summer fling baby. We only recently got to see a picture (His grandmother found a pic she didn't know she had.) and my husband looks so much like him that it shocked me.

Not condoning persons actions, but things were different back then, divorce was frowned apon, and also breakups usually meant from the children also. It is shocking and heartless. I think the paper wedding dress article was a grandmother secretly reaching out to the grandkids she new were out there, thats what i believe. Oh and btw yous were posh at least yous had a tin bath, kitchen sink for me, then to the local swimming pool baths or my grans for a wash 😂. Love and respect to you all
