So let's talk!! 1. Which bond treatment do you like best? 2. Does the street cred of Olaplex make you more prone to buy it than CurlSmith? 3. Do you think these bond treatments have made a difference on my heat damaged Natural hair?
@22rajiboo3 жыл бұрын
The Curlsmith definitely gave more your hair more elasticity. My hair is also heat damaged and I have tried Olaplex. Olaplex definitely works after u wash it out but that Curlsmith looks like it starts working fr jump. I really wanted to see someone with actual damage try these products out. Will be adding that bond salve to my cart. I think the protein in the salve gave it that boost. Ur wash an go looks amazing...I'm striving to have my hair look like that again

I definitely agree, the extra protien in the Curlsmith did give it an edge! I hope your hair repsonse well to this new product! I have high hopes for it!

I truly believe and know that the BOND treatments are a CURLY HAIR LIFE CHANGER!!!! Now you’ve helped me add Curlsmith to the mix! PSYCHED!!!
@woman4women Жыл бұрын
Olaplex is a molecular bond builder that works from the inside out, Curlsmith is a protein bonder that coats the strands. So while Curlsmith will give you definition right away, it isn't changing anything on the inside of the hair, just making it look better. Olaplex will over time fix the damage, not just stick the damaged strands together. I'd say use Olaplex first - then go on top with Curlsmith if you like - but skipping the Olaplex would be a mistake; think of your hair like your body - Olaplex is a workout routine, Curlsmith is good shapewear.

Very mixed information, a lady on KZbin said something of the same thing you said. Except she said Curlsmith works inside to strengthen your bond. Which one is it???😩
@woman4women Жыл бұрын
@@Nominaze Both products have the same objective and both repair broken bonds, they just achieve it in a different way. Olaplex No. 3 has a patented ingredient that works on a molecular level, whereas Curlsmith contains natural protein ingredients to strengthen. Because Bond Curl is a protein treatment, there is a risk of protein overload if you use it too frequently and/or leave it on too long. Olaplex you can use 2-3 times per week.

10:15 she thinks it's just as good as Olaplex 3. It gave her more slip and moisture during the application but the results were basically the same as the olaplex in the end. The pricepoint is better for the Curlsmith product.

Because of the way Olaplex is designed I find it works best on freshly washed (clarified) hair. It benefits from no barrier between the product and the hair. It also applies better on clean hair (saving $$$). I saw much better results this way using 0 and 3 . I think the damp hair guideline is more helpful for straight haired folks who probably use way less (or no) product in their hair. I use protein modestly in all parts of my routine (except styling) and so I don't see the benefit of protein pre poo unless there is serious damage or gummy hair. But your hair looked great 👍🏽you got the healthiest looking damaged hair ever lol

Curlsmith of course the smell is divine , it has slip and it makes my hair shiner and it gives us the worth for our money . One thing I noticed is that with olaplex my hair felt a little but dull and it left my hair crunchy like for 3 days I think on the fouth day it got better tho .

Is anyone sharing the differences between what the two products really are? OLAPLEX is not a protein treatment where Curl Smith has protein. I realize they use the new buzz word "bond" but are they really the same?
@RachelAdina3 жыл бұрын
Both products are bond builders the difference between Olaplex and Curlsmith is that Curlsmith has more proteins in it than Olaplex I also believe that Curlsmith Added more ingredients to help with moisture and slip. I feel like they are the same in potency and benefits but Curlsmith is just more catered to the typical natural haircare needs. Does this answer your question? Let me know.❤
