The death of smiley appeared to have reawoken the mother of monsters to reborn him. Ghost at first to become corporeal in able to interact with the birth. And maybe Jade playing the song triggered another entity to wake up. The man in yellow made note of Jade's song and he appears to be a day walker. Of course we are assuming the critters can't stand daylight, similar to how they always walked. Until one of them ran to prevent something detrimental from affecting their perpetual existence. In case of emergency they could all end up fast day walkers... but until then, they preferred the more fearful slow night approach to terrify their victims before an organ harvest.

The disappointing moment of this season was that they really didn’t need to hurt Elgin. Fatima was left unharmed by the kimono woman (KW) and it seems she had zero interest in harming her after the birth. So now we have Sarah who will most likely get the axe by the townsfolk for going too far. Seemed silly, wished they made that scene feel more deserved and that the group stopped the KW from killing her.

I agree I thought whatever was happening to Fatima would end up killing her or whatever she was giving birth to was catastrophic and something they couldn't let happen I was a bit disappointed when I saw it was just the same smiley just because it doesn't make much of a difference its not like they killed most of the monsters and they all came back alive one really isn't going to make a difference in their lives because they didn't have a way to kill any more. I understand why they hurt Elgin because they couldn't actually trust him or what the kimono woman was saying I just don't think the payoff for all this was worth it really not saying I didn't enjoy it just expected a bit more

I disagree. They didn't know Fatima was more or less safe, and they DID know that the entity LIES when making promises, and the last time someone listened to the Entity, Sara killed her brother, and almost killed Ethan, so it is more than fair to assume that Fatima was in mortal danger so they would have been justified in straight up killing Elgin ASAP to get to Fatima, and secure her safety.

Kimono doesn’t really put images on the polaroids. She makes people believe the images exist when they do not. For instance, the image of Kimono eventually disappeared from the picture with Fatima. She makes people see things that aren’t there but in picture form. She doesn’t know everything though. She got Boyd’s house wrong. Was missing the boat. maybe Kimono got stronger as smiley grew within Fatima. That gave kimono strength, like her essence is intertwined with the monster people as part of the deal made for immortality. She didn’t appear until Fatima pregnant. Fatima eating the rotten food and drinking Elgin's blood made both smiley and kimono stronger. Kimono can physically interact with stuff but so could Julie when Julie was separated from her body after she entered the ruins with Nathan. Talisman don't work against the kimono lady or other spirit-like beings. whatever the voices are communicating with Sarah weren’t affected by talisman, nor were the voices on the phone and radio nor the music box entity. They all seem to go where they want, when they want. As far as we know the talisman only work against completely physical beings like the monster people. As far as day walkers go, I don’t believe the sun hurts the monster people. Smiley’s corpse out in the sun seemed fine in season two. Plus, the man in yellow was out during the day, and he is probably their cult leader. Although the sun doesn’t hurt them, they are probably stronger at night. The monsters can’t venture out far from the caves though. They must return each morning to recharge. The caves are their source of power. That’s where they sacrificed their children. the electrical wires from the houses lead down to the caves. I doubt the monster people can reach the cabin settlement with the red rocks. They will only travel so far before they must turn around so they can be back inside the caves before morning. Perhaps that’s why the cabins are far from town.

I think the Kimono woman is Julie or connected to her. Julie is the one that "found" the Polaroid camera that Elgin uses to communicate with kimono woman

I thought whatever Fatima was giving birth to would either kill her or was so catastrophic they couldn't let it happen I was a bit disappointed when it was just the regular smiley again idk still enjoyed it just thought that situation would've been more life or death smiley coming back doesn't really change much they didn't have any other way to kill anymore monsters anyway

My theory is the kimono lady is Fatima. After losing her baby she is promised by the entity to give in to the dark and she will get her baby back. Enter time travel paradox she goes back in time to impregnate Fatima and get her child back creating an endless time loop paradox.

Finding that hatch felt so much like watching 'Lost' again. I heard to a degree. The same showrunners, are making 'From' up on the fly, similar to 'Lost". Which has thrown the community bent on figuring out clues,(that may not mean anything at all, come final season), into total disarray. Early on the showrunners in 'Lost' stated that Lost, wasn't about purgatory.... until last season when it kind of was???? Now they claim From is not purgatory for auto accident victims killed by fallen trees. Nor are they having a shared dream in a coma ward somewhere. My wendigo theory still holds up. Mother wendigo has a tribe of youngins tricked into cursed immortality and they must be fed, or have access to living humans organs from time to time. Two of her potential cursed slipped the noose and attempted to flee. Only to keep getting stuck over and over in the Wendigo's web.

I have a question about the series Lost. You have likely covered that series when it was live. I can't remember the explanation for the smoke ghost existing. That was a long running question on everyone's thoughts. The "others" had the electric fence to keep it out... iirc. So electricity either hurt or destabilized it. Was it just an island defense mechanism with no known origin?

It had an origin, it’s the Man In Black. After Jacob pushed him in to the well/tunnel when they were the first inhabitants he emerged as the smoke monster and has the ability to transform in to it at will.

@@keeponrockinon Was that part of the cocaine plane story arc? Dude with the bat. Who's actor caught a dui in Hawaii and got the axe. A recurring theme iirc. Vin's gf in Fast & Furious was a cop from the tail section. Who also picked up a dui and got whacked on screen for it.

I was thinking something from mid-series. Last season of Lost was a downer. Slogged through but barely any memory retention then the actors themselves. One was Bosch in his own series and Jacob was Lucifer in Supernatural.

@ I suppose this character makes as much sense as the ballerina which would be no sense at all. Same could be said about the civil war soldier from season one but that actually makes more sense now. Hopefully Kimono Woman will as well.
