I've been trying to use this Kimura defense many times and it never worked well for me and always thought that it was because my opponents were stronger than me, but now i'm sure that i need to posture there to prevent them from reversing me.

would you recommend baiting the kimura to get this counter?

Sometimes I do bait the Kimura, because I know this move is over used and relied upon from bottom half guard. Many times it breaks the persons will right away even if I don't counter submit them. I feel like it's easy for people not to realize it's a 50/50 position and get a false sense of success against lower ranks and or weaker people. In competition it's basically guaranteed that half the people on a local/regional level will try this or the Cross Collar stall from half as well.
