I’ve used limits in various scenarios in wrestling and martial arts. Coach called it a hammer lock back in high school. The difference is that you can’t keep cranking against the elbow to dislocate like in MMA. You can also perform this from ground if your opponent has his hands around you when on your hands and knees. Loop the elbow and lock it like he did. You might have to use your head and/or shoulder to stay stable as you get the lock secure. Then Beek the grip, lift the arm out and back keeping the elbow straight. From here you can either step up and finish or hip heist out the side you have control and keep pressure on his upper arm until you come around. Maintain pressure and leverage all the way through.

Gripping with no thumb. I can't get my brain to work in that sense. I'm use to gripping with the thumb, like a baseball bat grip. I really need to break that habit. Thumbs up as always. I always see something new every time I watch this.
@MrStevedwattsjr8 жыл бұрын
Nick and Nate are two of the toughest fighters I have ever seen. They are just flat out tough and never, ever quit fighters. That being said, the technique to get the kimura or double wrist lock in place was not thorough. Go to Mark Hatmaker, and he will show you how to get that on more successfully. There are two steps missing other than just basing down and sticking you hand through. You could see in the video, the guy was not trying to stop him from getting his hand through. Had he, Nick would have probably beat him to death. Did I say the guy is scary tough? He has enough endurance and tenacity to get it hooked up that way. For the more human, you need a tad better technique. Again, I do not know Mark Hatmaker personally, but I have trained with him once before and he showed that very technique and how to get you hand through. It made it so much easier for the more human of us. Again, for the record, I am a Nick Diaz and Nate Diaz fan. I think to many men have become soft. They can take an ass whooping for 10 minutes, until you hands go numb from hitting them, and then they will break you into. They wear professional fighters out mentally by absorbing all the punishment they can dish out and are still ready to fight when most of us would have passed out from exhaustion.

They should rename this move "the Sakuraba" just as how "the kimura" was named after the defeat of Helio. Seriously Saku has made this move work more then anyone i've ever seen especially from behind. Everytime someone gets his back standing or on the ground, he's nullified them by just holding that position and he's even broken an amazing gracies' arm with that move on Renzo. Diaz is good but no one has even come close to half the attempts and successful attempts that Saku has accomplished.
