This season is way better than the first season. It's way edgier with that terrifying Bren character, as well as the ruthless Turks. They're even starting to turn lovely Anthony nasty by the looks of it too.

Just finished both seasons. I was hooked especially in season 2. Amanda actor is excellent in both seasons. Eric is superb in season 2. And bren is just amazing. But all the actors were very good.

I also started watching because of Charlie Cox. By the end of S1, I wondered why I had even watched past a few episodes - probably because I give things a chance. Every single character is totally unlikeable, miserable, no redeemable quality in any of them. I couldn't even muster up emotion for Amanda's love for her sons, or anyone's love for anyone. I couldn't root for a single one of them. The only character I liked was Jamie and he wasn't even in it long. The constant background music made everything even more miserable.

The show was fantastic overall. I did feel it was to one sided though, should of been more of the Kinesella family dead, like how did Eric last as long as he did. The best series like The Sopranos for example, what I loved how that not all the "good guys" survived, Christopher for example reminded me of Eric for example a little bit, Obviously Christopher didn't survive. That for me was one of the reasons why The Sopranos was one of the best gangster series ever it got things like that so right.

Great show Amanda needs to go. She's not a war time leader, she's a launderer, she needs to stay in her lane. As crazy as Bren is, he's right. They can't acquiesce to the Turks, they'll never stop getting bled. 90Million is a stupid figure & totally unrealistic. The only unrealistic thing about the show.

There are so many unrealistic things about this show it's actually ridiculous. Here is just one example. Jammy keeps his only gun, in a floor safe!! And every time he goes out on a job he has to fetch that same gun. A real crime family member is always armed. Here is another one...... Eric is sitting in jail with all of his personal belongings still on him. In real life, the second you are arrested and processed into the jail system, they take everything off you. But Eric goes from city jail, into federal transport, and arrives at federal prison with all of his stuff. Where finally, they take his belongings. Not real. I could go on for days......But despite such flaws, it is a really good show.

Amanda is the only evidence of brainpower in that set up, apart from Michael who is smart enough to understand her strategies and support her. Frank will respect her eventually but the rest are knuckle draggers providing the mindless action element. Also, FYI the prison system depicted is based on prisons in the Republic of Ireland where Kin is set, and has nothing to do with a "Federal" system from a foreign state.

No in Ireland you don’t get a prison uniform you wear the clothes you were arrested in. Items like earrings watches rings and phones are taken away then you get brought to your cell the county jail as you put it is for people detained before the charges are levied holding cells when you get formally charged you are then taken to prison and held there depending on the seriousness of the alleged crime bail also isn’t a thing you are held if you’re a flight risk or a danger until the trial but most petty criminals are released until the trial after being processed and have to check into a police station every day to state you haven’t fled your passport is taken away so you can’t leave the country. Also in Ireland you get caught with an illegal firearm you’re looking at 12 years easy so yeah in a safe. There is no federal police there is only the Gardai they are the national police.

That's some dumb writing. When that gun in episode 6 misfired I threw up a little in my mouth. And the big Turkish cartel leader flying over to Dublin all the time (so they can be gotten in the finale no doubt) ...... The only thing dumber than the Kinsella family are all their opponents. Like the police not putting any surveillance on them for example.

The police have been surveying them it’s in an episode of season 2 they are photographing them and their associates you don’t just take out the weed you have to rip the roots out too or it will just spring up again. You take all the associates their distributors their suppliers the major dealers and leave a power vacuum.

I came for Aidan Gillen, but did not like season 1 at all, ( especially the black eyed chick) gave up at ep6, dumbed down writing and stupid plot has been done a million times, plus I did not find any characters likeable & it was all over the place, even boring alot of times and to top it off most of cast have very thick accents, hard to understand.
