Honestly, you can find really great menus all over the internet, but The Game Plan is what sets your menus apart for me. Nobody tells you how/when to prep and serve and you're left the day of with not enough ovens or time to figure it out before the food gets cold. Thank you SO much for that!

Ha! Yes you caught me. I have a convection upper oven and a regular lower oven. I usually don't like to use the convection for baking, but I was in a rush! It cooks everything so quickly! I find it tricky with baking and the conversion, but for meats, it's a girl's best friend! Juiciest chickens, turkeys. roasts ever! Set it for 325 Roast and it does all the work for you! Seriously awesome!

Welcome to KZbin Kathy! Yes of course all the ingredients and full instructions are typically listed in a video's description. To see that just click SHOW MORE under the player. On my Kin and EWB videos you'll either find the full recipe there, OR a link to our Tumblr page with the full recipes there. I hope that helps and feel free to reach back out if you can't find it. :) Beth

I LOVE this menu, thank you! I live in a fun mid century neighborhood in Palm Springs. 7 households on our street get together monthly for a pot luck, and we all bought, or dusted off our Fondue sets for a themed pot luck, It hasn't happened yet. I'm posting this vid of your's on Facebook for all my neighbors to see. We might do a Fondue Crawl much like our New Year's Eve crawl we do annually. Thanks for the tip about adding flour to the cheese mixture, I had my test run sauce separate.

Sure. You could use Amaretto for a nice Almond Taste, Frangelico for Hazelnut, or Grand Marnier for an orange flavor. All would be great! Add to the melted chocolate while in the sauce pan, but first TURN OFF THE FLAME (to avoid the fumes from igniting), then add the liquor, mix and then pour into the Fondue pot. Enjoy!

Ha! Oh yes Trader Joe's is a beloved brand here in the states. It's actually a Grocery Store that also makes their own line of products. The reason we all love it is that they are really inexpensive! Probably the reason lots of YTbers use them, they have a great selection of basic and gourmet products, and most of their items are also pretty healthy too! They are seriously just the best! If you ever come to the US, you must visit one :)

The pound cake recipe in the menu is really nice and simple. The first time I make it was to have it without fondue, and I can't stop eating it. I wonder how long can it be kept in the fridge and if there're any ways to warm it up again nicely. Other recipes from both this channel and Beth's are also fancy. I've tried her shrip stir fried too and it was delicious.

Well, I wouldn't recommend this. Only because on the jar of Nutella is says not to warm it. Mostly because it will separate due to all the oil in it. BUT, what you could do is use Milk Chocolate for your fondue (instead of bittersweet) leave out the Vanilla extract, and instead use Hazelnut extract. It's usually right next to the vanilla extract in your supermarket. And you will have the same taste, but with a more stable fondue. Enjoy!

Hmm ... I love your videos and recipes, Beth! But this fondue makes me sad. I'm from Switzerland and was growing up with fondue. I know both: the fondue with cheese and the fondue chinoise with meat which you cook in bouillon. And the fondue pot you have is originally for fondue chinoise. The pot for cheese fondue should be ceramic and it's called caquelon. Oh by the way. For me it's very interesting which ingredients you use. I don't really know what your Swiss Cheese taste like. Is it like Emmentaler, or Appenzeller? Because Gruyère is originally from Switzerland too, so what flavor has Swiss Cheese? ^^' PS: For my favorite fondue we use moitié-moitié which means half-half, because it's half Gruyère and half Vacherin Fribourgeois :3 And I love to use homemade baked "Buurebrot" which is translated as farmer bread. My sister loves to eat the fondue with fresh ananas and clementines, my father likes cornichons and I like my fondue pure with the bread ^^' And potatoes we only eat with Raclette and other warm cheese dish :3 PPS: I love eating with the fondue fork, never used normal forks ^^'

Loved this video! One question tho, once ur guests are done with the cheese fondue, you would have to wash the fondue pot and what would you do with the cheese? And while your washing, what would you serve your guests?
@EntertainingWithBeth11 жыл бұрын
Aw yes the challenges of convection cooking. It can be tricky. I actually really prefer it for meats. The secret is to use the "convection roast setting" which is 325 degrees. And roast the meat. makes it so tender and juicy! I haven't done recipes calling for convection because I'd be afraid a lot of people wouldn't have one. Funny you noticed it in the vid. I did that b/c it's quicker and I had a crew waiting for it! LOL! :)

Lovely menu and fondue idea! I'm going to try it. But I think rather than babysitting my guests at the table, I'd lay out the cut food items, having guests serve themselves from a buffet as if to serve an appropriate dinner portion of each item, proceed to sit at the table, cutting your potato etc. and ready the portions for dipping. I'm even leaning toward having a small bowl for serving the fondue out onto for each his own personal dipping portion. It may take away from the fondue pot folklore, but I think it would still feel more comfortable than having to take turns to dip in the main pot. Either way, I love this menu, including the dessert one!!
