That was my biggest concern going in and also my biggest relief by the end. He brought it, no question about it. There were so many moments in which he made his presence imposing. I particularly loved when he stomped his foot on the ground when The Emperor was hesitating on kissing the ring. Fucking badass.

1:30:20 I think the Fedaykin armor (which was the golden armor in Paul's vision in the first movie), got redesigned to the one we see them wearing in the final battle in this movie. If that's truly the case, it can be shrugged off as an alternate future where the armor looks different, just how Chani replaces Paul in the fight.

Chani’s blue scarf is a Nezhoni scarf worn by Fremen women who’ve recently given birth to a son. So, perhaps they shot that storyline and it, like Thufir Hawat, and Count Fenring, got cut for time. Saw it at a pre-release screening in IMAX and seeing it again tomorrow.

They were inside the Shield Wall, Nick. That's the name of the mountain range. It's a giant crater so it has mountains all around, and the city is just in one corner of this enormous crater. There are even other cities and settlements there. So even if they're outside the city of Arakeen, there are no worms until you pass the Shield Wall and go out into the open desert. The Emperor felt confident aligning his troops like that because this was supposed to be the safe drop-off zone, protected by Harkonnens, no one could suspect that Paul had nukes and could ride worms.

Nicks issues with Batista and Timmy play part of the character like Matt said. For Timmy his mom telling him slow down is intentional, she’s literally trying to coach him into being their messiah. Bautista is similar in how his uncontrolled rage and just 0-100 is part of the character, that is why he is failing on the planet. He and his brother are psychos, Rabban unlike Feyd is incompetent and impatient, it even comes out in how they kill their servants. Rabban screams and shouts slamming their heads like a savage, Feyd is a quick slice with zero effort or recognition.

Stilgar and the Baron felt like different characters than in the first movie. Stilgar became the comedy relief in this one from being a wise leader. The baron wasn't menacing, secretive and cunning in this like he was in first. He was just there and immediately put in a vulnerable position. Lady Jessica transition made sense and felt natural. It was nice to see Paul being a man and never a young man. I wanted to see more of the emperor. We needed to see more of how he lives and how he rules. Also more pugh, she needed more stuff to work with. Lady Margot was perfect like a female spy using her sex to get what she wants. Feyd wouldn't pass the gom Jabbar, so that was weird to see and lady Margot calling him honorable was baffling. Quick kills of some of the characters didn't leave an impact. The sound was perfect in imax laser it was never too loud and it was very engaging.

I think Jabbar was honorable in a sick twisted way, he took his shield off before killing another atredias? I was confused on his name and if he was related to Paul and how.
