it's funny that they didn't think this movie was going to be bad. I knew it would be bad the minute I heard Will Smith didn't want to be in the movie. I don't understand why people keep wanting sequels to movies that were better off being stand alone stories. This is basically Mighty No 9 all over again. It sucks but in a few weeks we will move on.

Tim, I love you but how do you not see whee these guys are coming from? The first one wasn't The Godfather, but it was a fun good time. They're not acting like it was Citizen Cain or something, but it was a good movie. And the 2nd one isn't just bad. If it sucked then it wouldn't be getting this much hate. It's getting this much hate because it's worse than that, and it does tarnish the memory of the first. Will Smith was smart. Probably read the script and thought, "nah I'm good with DC right now"

Well Colin thought the first movie was cleaver and was expecting a movie filled with backstory and lore. Tim had the right idea that the first one was okay and dumb and that was what people should have expected from this one.

Alex Mujica The acting was all over the place, most of the characters brought back were funny or at least ok, except for the boat thing, and Vivika A. Fox was only funny by virtue of how stupid her death was. But then Hemsworthnothing and NotWillSmith were TERRIBLE.

There's no Earfly way I'm gonna go see this movie. As for the original, I feel that it's one of the best examples ever of a true popcorn movie. It's funny, it's got plenty of cool spectacles, and great quotes, and I'm surprised none of the guys pointed out how it likely inspired that one stage in Star Fox 64 where you work together with Bill (Pullman?) to take down the mothership. FOX! That's one of ours!

they use the core to power the ship but they also harvest the planets rich resources once the core is removed, hence targeting earth. or that's what I think it meant

It's been awhile since I saw it, but I believe Colin is wrong about the aliens intentions in the first movie. They were not here to take over. When the president connects telepathically with the alien in the first one he says specifically they are locusts, they move from planet to planet, stealing all our resource and then moving on. Not taking over.
