To Tim's last point about kart not necessarily being a launch game, the only game in the original switch 1 reveal that launched with the console was breath of the wild and we had known about that game for like 3 years. Even kart 8 deluxe was a month later and splatoon 2 was over the summer Edit: I forgot about 1,2, switch but to be fair we all should

I see what blessing is saying about Tim’s Mario prediction. If you make an open world Mario game that has coop, it’s hard to imagine the collection aspect being truly cooperative. Cooperative in the sense that you need the other player to get a collectible or beat a boss. If you design a game that way it could be fun for groups, but then it’s impossible (without computers or something) when you play single player. If it’s cooperative in the sense that you work separately on the same file/world to collect the mcguffin, then you are just losing out on content playing with friends, and there really isn’t much collaboration. Which is fun in the party setting but my I just don’t have the ppl to sit down with and really enjoy that sort of thing with. I’m not a game designer so maybe there is a way but it sounds like a 3D Mario that I wouldn’t really enjoy as much as the Mario 64 style games.

Tim is here breaking some of our dreams. But as a long time Nintendo fan who has seen the highs and lows, felt the happiness, but also the burns, what Tim says is not wrong. Some of the things he says are the things we HOPE Nintendo doesn't do, and but we all know, Nintendo can potentially do, which us Nintendo fans has experienced before. So I actually really like this Blessing/Tim prediction. It's a nice contrast of the best and worst case scenario.

I think a huge chunk of April's Direct will be about the Switch 2's online components and my prediction is that Nintendo will announce their new online chat service. My prediction is that a major selling point that Nintendo will try to hammer home is the idea of playing Mario Kart 9 online with day one wireless voice chat. They'll have a video of someone laying in bed playing MK9 and talking to a friend in another country whilst racing with them. Predictions for the service name?, maybe Pictochat 2 or Nintendo Talk.

I’m on board with Tim’s idea that Pokemon Z/A won’t be on Switch 2 and there will be another Pokemon on Switch 1. Where we differ is I believe there will be no Switch 2 enhancements for Z/A and the other Pokemon on Switch 1 won’t be a main series game but a spinoff like Mystery Dungeon.

I will double down with Tim and say they will release Melee again. BUT it will release in 2026 because that would be 25 years since Melee's release. Also, it will be called Melee Ultimate (love the title). Why Ultimate, because it will feature all the Ultimate Characters but play like Melee. Final thing, they will open up a Direct in Black and White, and have a mouse pointe click the logo to get it colored, indicating Mario Maker/Paint sequel.

Idk guys. There’s no way the Switch 2 launches without a new Mario Kart right there next to it on the shelves. You guys said so yourself. Ppl are going to be excited like they usually are for most any game that releases at launch. Why would that be any different for Metroid Prime 4. The series has never been a massive seller, and I don’t think a month in the Switch 2 market alone is going to change that. And Nintendo isn’t going to hold off on a Mario kart at launch just to give MP4 a chance.

The obsession with Odyssey baffles me! As a lifelong Mario fanatic, it’s easily his worst main-line outing. Very uninspired both in level design and in moon placement. Some of the levels could have belonged in Mario 64 20 years prior. And if your only argument is “New Donk City”, if you really stop and think about it, that was “amazing” simply because you had never seen realistic-ish looking buildings in a Mario game before it…but it really wasn’t all that great when you stop and think about it. Ground pounding on a random glowing spot on the ground is about as lazy and boring as it gets. The 999 moon thing was just an overkill for no reason other than to just make it 999 moons. They could have done HALF of that and at least spent more time making those 500 or so more entertaining to acquire. Truthfully, I’d take a Super Mario 3D World 2 over an Odyssey 2 a million times over. However, an HD remake of Super Mario World, as was mentioned, is so very VERY much up my alley. That would just blow my mind! Also, an HD remake (ala Link’s Awakening remake) of Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins would basically be the culmination of my gaming life… I could go for a new Wave Race (what if the new Mario Kart has a JET SKI mode? Rather than go under water like in MK8…you are ON the water?!?!? 😱 Could also go for a new 1080 Snowboarding. Mario Hoops…? Wario Land…? Mario Casino Games from the DS…? RUSTY’S REAL DEAL BASEBALL…??? All of these amazing things that Nintendo will never do but y’all want a stinkin’ Odyssey 2….WHY?!?!?

BP/SD Gen 4 remakes were excellent - will never understand why the rest of the world feels differently. The further Pokemon gets from Gen 2 the worst it gets. So very happy we got a Switch generation classic top down 2d game.
