I am a little bit confused about the eligibility. You said anyone citizen or not who's living in Germany. But then you said afterwards persons paying taxes in Germany and german citizen or from other EU. So you mean for expats that's not from EU and neither from Switzerland Licht, Norway or Iceland they can't apply for kindergeld?

What I understood, it is kind of your right to apply for this.. This is a subsidy which government give it to every child's parent.. so this will not affect your citizenship process..

Hey Bro, nice video! cleared most of my doubts. Just couple of questions, 1. I moved in Dec in Germany and I got my blue card only in July this year. Once I submit the form for Kindergeld, will I get the money from Dec/Jan till July also or it will be from July only. 2. I need to attach the copies of residence permit and other documents along with application form in single envelope and post it?

@@irfanqaisar3430 1. you will get kindergeld from the month of your blue card appointment not your arrival month in germany 2. Yes, post all document in single envelope and share it with them. In case any document is missing, they will ask you to share that separately
