Waaah thank you so much for this straightforward comparison! I'm panning on buying a kindle when I get my first paycheck and now I think that the Basic would fit me more, size wise and practically! I was thinking if I buy the Paperwhite it'd be more,, worth it? However, it does seem like there's not much of a difference~ or at least not a difference that'd be relevant for me. Thanks again!

@erickajoy5520 You're right there isnt much difference between the devices. If you are wanting the waterproof option then go for the paperwhite other than that, unless you want a bigger screen and warmth setting then go for the basic

I really enjoy my kindle! I borrow ebks from the library. I hardly buy ebks. And it is such a wonderful money saver/accessibility factor for me! Ebks easily at my finger tips on the go. I also am a bit over the top. I have 9 library cards from my favorite cities we travel to and i get a free library card to use the libby app for ebks. ☺️ but that is what is available in the U.S.

@@itsvornyreads its other way to use your kindle, without amazon. Its a way to keep your books, and do whatever you want with then. you can use zlibrary as well.

Yeah, the Paperwhite is made with rubberized material and the Basic is just plastic.
