I just got the scribe today. As a 51 yr old who has decided to go to nursing school, I thought this would be the best tool for all the things that I need to learn. This video helped me so much when attempting to learn how to navigate this devise. Thanks you so much.

Update for anyone who watches this after May 2023 - The Pen now does support Pressure Sensitivity and also works on Samsung Devices (the ones that use the S-Pen). The Pen is made by Wacom meaning it will also work with some Wacom devices aswell (and Wacom Pens, the S-Pen etc. Will also work on the Kindle). Example: If you prefer the feel of the smaller S-Pen from Samsung's Note Line, you can use that on this tablet and it will work EXACTLY the same though the button on the side may not work.

Another use of Whispersync is for using Audible on multiple devices. The book you're listening to (same account) will carry on at the same point, whichever device you use (kindles or kindle app on mobiles). But if two people are listening to the same book, the trick is to keep an eye on the screen when you open the book. A message tells you it's picking up at the point the other device left off but also has a box to 'undo'. It disappears straight away so you have to catch it! (Found this out because my husband and I listen to the Bible read by Simon Bubb - he reads it carefully in an English accent!) From the UK. Not prejudiced against American accents - I also listen to Johnny Cash reading the New Testament on KZbin!

Does anyone know how to increase the sleep mode time out on a Scribe? When I am using it for note taking and there is no activity for a while it will go into sleep mode and it takes too much time to re-enter password and jot down the note

This is my friend's second Kindle. kzbin.infoUgkxOnUR4NaproSbBbD2sdI4XcDZ58Jz8GOx The first one which is about 5 or 6 years old quit charging because the bottom connector went bad. When I saw they upgraded to a USB C connector I knew it was time. I think the old USB Micro connectors are a PIA. Her new one is great. It synced right out of the box and connected to WiFi immediately. The thing is perfect! Sooo mine will arrive tomorrow. (Been reading off an old Fire) What bugs me are the reviewers that give this product one star because it didn't work out of the box or they were too dumb to figure it out. If it doesn't work send it back and get another one. It couldn't be easier with Amazon. Giving it one star because it didn't work says nothing about a good one that does work. I bet a bad one is one in a thousand or more. Give it a break...just get another one.

I have the Paperwhite, iPad 12.9 M1, MacBook M1 Pro 16”, iPhone 13 ProMax….and just got my Scribe. The Scribe’s battery life, and note taking as it sits, will replace paper in my life. No distractions with the Kindle Scribe…and those notes once synced will be accessible via the Kindle app. Duplication between devices, yes, but the Scribe is a perfect addition I believe. Different tools for different tasks.

I just bought one as a replacement for my kindle DX from 2011. I have a kindle paper white signature edition and now this. It’s worth it to me because I always enjoyed having a large kindle for reading my books and have the smaller kindle paperwhite for when I am by a pool or hanging out in a bathtub and reading since the paperwhite is water proof where the kindle DX and Scribe are not. Amazon is offering a 20 percent discount for trade in of older devices that are no longer supported for whispersync.

Why does every click on the menus make the device look like it's glitching, with black/white flashes? Why is there so much lag on every action (except the writing, thankfully)? Look at 1:12 .
@tecnobrenda Жыл бұрын
i think these flashes are very common to kindle devices . these are screen refreshes. since kindle devices relies on electronic ink (that works in a magnectic way, i think²) it helps to make text and images not leaving ghost marks behind. it cleans the screen for new incoming information and pages, such as menus and brand new texts. for writing and drawing, i believe it isn't necessary after all because doing those things are much more like a ">build-up< from scratch" approach from the pen than a refreshing one from navigating menus and pages. edit: i'm not 100% sure if what i said is completely correct, just saying from my personal experience of owning a kindle. hope it helped!
