This is one of the reviews I was waiting for, thanks Omar. It seems it sounds nice plus the looks are great. You mentioned this is a good IEM for listening to k-pop and female vocals, do you see this IEM, the IgniteX Beast, as an upgrade of the Wan’er?
@AudioAmigoReviews3 ай бұрын
@@MeronOppa if you’re not treble sensitive, or prefer a brighter sound, then yes. I would say these are a pretty good Wan’Er upgrade. The vocals aren’t as natural as on the Wan’Er. I feel like the harmonics are a little too emphasized. But that can be a good or bad thing depending on your tastes.

Another beauty from Celest 😍 but it doesn't really sound like my kind of tuning. 😬 If I can find it cheap enough at some point I still might buy it just for its looks and mod the tuning more to my liking. 🤔 Thank you for another great review! 👍
@wyndowrfrost3 ай бұрын
Haha well I wouldn't call the IgniteX Beast an Inawaken Dawn, but I guess everyone can copy-paste the wrong title 😅 . As for the IgniteX Beast, I found my set to be very nicely constructed and tuned naturally, with good seperation in the sound. The tuning almost reminds me of a flatter W-shaped one, revealing the details but not bringing in too much energy. This is more apparent to me in the vocals, where it feels like the singers are holding back just that little bit causing it to sound less emotionally charged (somehow?) to my ears. Still a great budget picking though and you can't deny the solid construction and beautiful looks.

@AudioAmigoReviews3 ай бұрын
I did comparison listen to those for a bit. Here are my general impressions, but I would probably need to listen to them more for a full opinion. The Dawn feels like a more V-shaped IEM than the Sonus. It has more bass overall, and a slightly sparklier, more energetic treble. I don’t find either fatiguing. Where I would say I prefer the Sonus is in the midrange. As I mentioned in my Dawn review, the lower mids are a bit “warmed up” by the bass boost, and I feel the Sonus’ mids are in general a bit cleaner and more detailed. The Dawn is more fun, the Sonos is Smoother. Hope this helps!

This is another one of those IEMs that fell solidly into the "man, I really want to like this" category. Unfortunately, the biggest drawback for me was the fitment. Semi-Custom fit IEM shells are really a struggle for my ears. And the moment they hit my ears, I was immediately reminded of the KZ CRN. Which is to say, I got about 15 minutes of listening, and had to take them out of my ears due to hotspots. But because of how pronounced the wing is, there is no ear tip or cable rolling that can adjust the fit, such as with the T10. Accessory wise, I really couldn't fault it. Yeah, sure, it COULD be better. But I am to the point that as long as the accessory package isn't pure garbage, and is serviceable, I am not going to complain about pouches or niche trinkets. And the cable and KBEar 07 style tips are perfectly fine. For a poor example, the Singolo, total crap accessory pack. The wire is trash, and the tips are bordering on absolutely useless, due to being super thin and flimsy. That to me is a terrible accessory pack. And it should have been better, and the Inawaken Dawn shows what it SHOULD have been for that original $80/price point. Or the Estrella, with its absolute bare bones bottom basement included accessories. But I can ALMOST excuse that, because the community that is going to buy that set is almost all but guaranteed to be using their own aftermaket cables and premium tips with that IEM, so why bother increasing the price to include something a little better? At this point, I almost wish I could buy IEMs WITHOUT the accessories, because they rarely leave the box after first blush. To wrap it up, in the end these just didn't blow me away. They weren't... Bad. They just didn't do anything different enough than anything else in the price category. Like the ZS12 ProX, that knocked my socks off for the price. And like you, the EW200 once again proves just how solid it is as an IEM, as I felt EW200 was overall more coherent and cohesive, and had better tonality. And, the Sonus is still the best 1+1 hybrid in this price category, and has some of the best single BA Hybrid timbre in the price point. The Beast is just another good hybrid IEM, that is good to listen to, provided you like the Kinera tuning, it fits your ears, and provided you don't own any other ~$50 hybrid sets. Any one of those doesn't apply, look elsewhere.

@@bigbuckoramma I agree with you. My accessories stay in the box. But a lot of the people I get questions from in person and online are “one and done” people, and for them, aftermarket cables and accessories are out of the question. Though I will say, a good percentage of them do turn into collectors like us eventually. :) Singolo’s accessories are terrible, but I feel that’s a weak point for KiwiEars in general, at least under $100. @@AudioAmigoReviews yes...yeeeesssss....they will be assimilated. 🤣 It's weird, I feel like there are fewer newer sets that fall into the one and done category anymore. It's too much the same for the sake of sameness in many cases. And while I can appreciate sticking with a "house tuning", what they did with this set, basically adding a BA to the darker toned Wyvern, is...odd. It makes the line up lack some of the variety and nuance of a lineup like Simgots or Afuls, where there is clear familial connection, but defined individuality. Be curious to see what comes next year. Right now the current crop of new IEMs is bordering on boring to me. Lots of "version 2" sets being phoned in under a different name, it feels like.
